I have never had such a bad chicken sandwich! Everywhere I tried to bite it was like rubber. You literally couldn't bite into it. I sent it back and just ate my fries which were way too salty. The sweet potato pancakes were really good. Burgers were average and too high priced in my opinion ($10 each). My daughter liked... More

As many times as we go to Wilmington I have never been to this lil touch of heaven. The service was fantastic, the food wonderful, and the waitress went out of her way to serve us. If you are down town please stop in for a great breakfast and price.

We ate here for lunch. I had the French toast and it was hot and delicious! My husband had the turkey meatloaf sandwich with onion rings. He thought it was great too. Very quiet and relaxed atmosphere.

Ate breakfast.. Had fried green tomato blt and grits. Nice southern breakfast food.. It was good but I am from Virginia so not much different. Restaurant is in historic downtown Wilmington and not a chain which is always a plus. Overall good southern breakfast food and kids enjoyed the pancakes.

We had breakfast one weekend recently. The service was good but the food was just ok. I always judge a breakfast by the home fries and biscuits. This resturant par boils theirs and then deep fries them. That is not home fries. It is within walking distance of downtown hotels.

I loved this place. I had the shrimp and grits and I've never seen so much food! A generous heaping of creamy, cheesy grits with Roma tomatoes, mushrooms, a HEAPING portion of bacon, topped with an egg and served with a biscuit. Yummo! My husband had the breakfast burrito which was stuffed full of bacon and eggs and peppers. Great... More

We stopped in this week on the recommendation of the info booth down the street. The food was served quickly and beyond excellent! My kids cleaned their plates!! I couldn't help but sing the praises as I ate. The only drawback was our server. While she met all our needs we felt like she didn't want to be there and... More

We were treated well and enjoyed a great breakfast. I wouldn't wait in line an hour to eat but you won't find much better. Give it a shot.

Dixie has been a favorite breakfast place for a number of years. In my opinion, the best shrimp and grits in Wilmington. simple, quick and served with egg and a fresh biscuit. Easily big enough for two. Be ready to wait if you are there after 9:00 on a weekend.
