Solid Experience for the Adults

Our experience at DSOB was solid. The adults in the party had average to above average food, but the kids' meals were terrible. Two of us (adults) had fish and it was prepared well. The kids had some sort of pasta and it was barely edible. My kids eat just about anything "pasta" and they took... read more

When you go to a port you have to try the seafood. We only stopped in for a snake and some drinks but the food was fresh and tasty! You owe it to yourself to give this small place a try!

This place has a limited menu, in my opinion, but what they do, they do very well. You can't go wrong with the oysters or the steamed seafood platter. The portions are plentiful and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is very relaxed, don't get dressed up, you don't need to. It is kid friendly, though the inside is a... More

We stopped by this little restaurant just off the riverfront on a Friday afternoon. I had the peel & eat shrimp, which was seasoned with old bay. It was cooked perfectly, and they also serve it with lemon, drawn butter, cocktail sauce and atomic horseradish. I also had the garlic toast points as a side, which were not very garlicky,... More

Great place in downtown Wilmington. Their seafood is some of the best in town. The atmosphere is really nice with a large outdoor seating area. They have a larger room upstairs where events can be held. Prices are affordable.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to rave about Dock Street Oyster Bar. My first impression was that a great deal of attention & thought had gone into the interior's design, interesting as it very well may be; however, it seemed to Shake & Rattle rather than Rock & Roll--but, then again, this may be what they're aiming to accomplish, who knows?... Judging... More

At DSOB we strive to give everyone the perfect experience and take to heart when we miss that mark. Obviously this reviewer fell thru the cracks and I have reached out in a attempt to make him happy. Steve More

This is our favorite place to take family and friends when they visit town and want to go out for sea food. Every dish on the menu that we have ordered has been great.

Great little stop while we were waiting to board the Henrietta III. Staff was friendly, attentive and professional.

My wife and I had seen good reviews on Tripadvisor so we decided to stop on our way through Wilmington. We were not disappointed. We got the oyster Po-boy and both of us thought it was a great sandwich.

I visited DSOB with my boyfriend and his sister. We were all very pleased with our food. We even saved room for dessert and got the Snickers pie, which was delicious. Our waitress was friendly and kept our drinks filled up. The inside of the restaurant was artistically decorated, even the bathroom had a beautiful mermaid painting on the wall.... More
