While walking downtown and viewing shops we smelled the waffle cones. We saw a ton of people walking in our direction with ice cream. The staff was very friendly and offered samples. I love chocolate so I got the brownie sundae ice cream with a waffle done. It was delicious!

We had just finished a harbor cruise and were HOT and thirsty when we stumbled upon Kilwin's in the downtown area. The place was packed, but the wait was worth it. We had the best milkshakes ever. You pick the ice creams you want and they make it into a milkshake. Yum! They also sell candy, chocolates, caramels, the best!

You cannot pass this place by. The smell of waffle cones will pull you in. A bit pricey ($7 for a double scoop waffle cone). Can put a dent in your wallet if you have more than 2 kids.

Kilwin's has some of the best ice cream. We will definitely visit them on our next trip. My Wifey couldn't stop talking about it. Love that place

You've got to have a waffle cone no matter what flavor of ice cream you try. After a nice walk on the waterfront, the lemon sorbet was a lovely, tart and creamy treat. They were making the waffle cones when we arrived. It was neat to watch the process. Wish there was seating inside the store; but watching from the... More

Great quality confections and ice cream. bought the caramel, peanut popcorn, and snacked on it for days. A trip to Wilmington not complete without a stop at Kilwin's.

Oh My goodness, home made waffle cones with hand dipped ice cream. I am glad I don't live here or I would be out of control with my weight. Sooooo Gooood I recommend that you fit this into your trip!

Obviously, the smell of the waffle cones will draw you in. This is just a great, tasty periodic indulgence that everyone in the family will enjoy (even those in a bad mood). The candies are pricey but soooo good. Enjoy a cone while sitting on the waterfront for a perfect Wilmington moment.

We discovered scrumpdelicious turtle ice cream at Kilwin's, and it's now our all-time favorite flavor (turtle=pecans, caramel, chocolate). Perfect spot to find your favorite flavor and then stroll Market Street/the River Walk with your waffle cone. Kilwin's also sells gourmet candy/chocolates. There are outside benches along Market Street, but no seating inside the small Kilwin's storefront. Some folks eat in their... More
