Last Sunday night, about 8:30, we stopped by to see what the hoopla was all about. The line, as usual, was out the door -- generally, a good sign. As we waited in line we watched the guy make the waffle cones through the big front window. He wore gloves. A few minutes later, a girl walked over to him... More

Whenever our grandsons are in town we have lunch downtown at one of our favorite restaurants and then walk the boardwalk to Market Street to Kilwin's for dessert. The selection is wonderful and one scoop is plenty to eat.

Kilwins has very good ice cream. Very creamy and packed with flavor. I still like Rita's more for ice cream but if I ever was in need for chocolate I know where to go

This place makes it's own waffle cones in front of the window, and the smell will make you do a hard brake to check it out. We went in the evening, and the line was down the block. It was worth it when we finally were served. The ice cream with creamy and delicious. The waffle cone was as good... More

The ice cream was so creamy and flavorful and the homemade waffle cones were so good! My husband loved the cookies 'n cream malt he had one night; top two malts he's had! I loved watching them make the waffle cones in the window. I wish we could have bought fudge to take home, but it wouldn't have made the... More

The smell when you enter is divine and makes you want to stay forever! There is a nice selection of all different things. The price per pound is pretty high but if you want to try 8 or 10 pieces it will only cost a few dollars. They package it in a lovely box so it also makes a great... More

Stopped in on a Thursday night. Shortly after we arrived the line was out the door and into the street. Ice cream was very nice - I had the toasted coconut chip. What sets this place apart is that, in addition to good homemade ice cream, there is a fudge shop and a selection of cookies and chocolate dipped treats... More

Judging by the lines, Kilwin's main attraction is their ice cream. I went for the fudge, and tried chocolate walnut and maple walnut. Both were outstanding, the maple in particular. The fudge is very creamy and not excessively sugary or grainy. Another nice feature is that they sell any amount - no minimum required.

The sweet scent wafting down the street can only but draw you in to kilwins for a look at their impressive array of confectionary. We went for some ice cream on the day. After some tastings, I settled for salted caramel and vanilla scoops. Both were generously sized and delicious. Waffle cones are made fresh on site. I didn't try... More
