Had dinner here while visiting Wilmington. It is in the heart of the downtown historic district. The waiter was great and gave us a couple of recommendations which were terrific. He said they are a small plate place but the entrees were more than enough for each person if you also have a salad or appetizer. My wife and I... More

Visiting with family and up for a first time restaurant - this was it! Downtown location so parking at 6 pm wasn't a problem. Excellent, very professional service - outstanding meals with appetizers beforehand. I don't think you can go wrong. The atmosphere of this place was elegant but not stuffy - pressed jeans with a polo shirt even works... More

Situated in the historic downtown part of Wilmington. Circa 1922 is busy with an interesting crowd of people, good bar and eclectic food. Well decorated with large paintings that can take awhile to decipher. We ate a bit of "tapas" and some had entrees. The place has both and are served uniquely as you might expect in view of the... This place is simply the best. They have kind of a unique set up in an older building downtown. They primarily serve their dishes 'tapas' style, but do serve larger dishes and sushi. This eclectic mix might seem weird to some, but is all fantastic. Don't leave without getting one of the desserts.

Lively white table cloth restaurant with fabulous service and even better food. Chicken prepared sous-vide then finished in cast-iron skillet with bacon and served in a sauce that included among other things chicken confit. Waitress made multiple trips to the kitchen to ensure GFree! ingredients and prep process. TWO different GFree! desserts, including a truly "colossal" (size of a football,... More

We recently ate at Circa 1922 in downtown Wilmington. Circa 1922 is a cavernous place on Front Street. It has an interesting atmosphere, and now inhabits one of Wilmington’s older buildings that had for years been a grocery and hardware store. There was a long, inviting bar along one wall and banquettes along the other, with many tables in between.... More

This place was phenomenal! Everything was fresh and delicious. The tapas are larger than expected. All the salads are soooo good! Paella, shrimp and grits, spinach gnocchi and sushi were all spectacular. We couldn't believe the quality for the price. A real gem in the heart of Wilmington. So pleased, we will be back again and again!

Circa is one of my favorite restaurants in Wilmington. It's right down town and is located in one of the old buildings. They have a great selection of wine and I love their menu where most of the plates are smaller almost tappas style. I have never had a bad meal there.

We were traveling through Wilmington and made a reservation based on TripAdvisor reviews. Our family was treated amiably and attentively by the staff. Our waiter knew the menu very well and helped with our selections. We enjoyed the Asian appetizer and olives. Our family shared the entrees and we loved all of the dishes we ordered; the paella, delicious, the... More
