After reading the glowing reviews on Tripadvisor, my husband and I decided to have dinner at Circa 1922 tonight. There was a set dinner menu for Sunday to Thursday, an excellent value at $19.95 per pax so we decided to give it a try. It consisted of a choice of salad, main course, coffee and dessert. We had the green... more

After deciding we would spend a few days in the lovely old seaport city of Wilmington, we consulted Trip Advisor on restaurants and decided we would have dinner at Circa 1922 on the night of our anniversary. The entire day had been cool and rainy and we set out about 6:15 p.m. from our downtown hotel and attempted to find... more

We had a good time on a busy saturday night. We were hesitant as they seemed busy but we got a table for 2 righaway. The menu was worth drooling over though hard on the wallet. Ended up ordering drinks, tapas and one entree. Had the escargot, scallops which were both very tasty (portion size small). The dessert side was... more

Interesting atmosphere - great for groups and couples alike. The service was impeccable and the menu was delightful. Get a few small plates and a couple of entrees. The entrees are about 1/2 the size of what you normally find in American restaurants which suited us perfectly. We got to try a few things with little waste. We had two... more

Went here for dinner last night. Had a couple of the small tapas plates to start. The duck pastrami and boursin/mushroom bruschetta. Both were very good. Then we split a spicy tuna roll and the puff pastry filet mignon. All the food was good just a little pricey. Drinks were also good. Wife got a mojito and it was tasty.... more

Excellent food, a super helpful waiter and a bit too much wine! While the portions are fairly small, you get a great selection. A pretty good sized salad with lots of choices. The filet pastry was excellent, can't remember the name of the chicken dish which was also very good. We also had the crab dip appetizer because we were... more

My husband & I went here for dinner for the first time on a recent "date night". It was wonderful! Our waiter, Rich was one of the best we have ever encountered. He was so engaging & practically doted on us. The food was scrumptuous! Good Shrimp & Grits are hard to find, but you will definitely find them here!... more

We ate at Circa on June 27, 2009. The meal was excellent.. We had the crab and lobster dip, a mozerella and tomato salad to start. We follwed that with the pork and tuna dishes. Each dish was excellent. For dessert we went with the Creme Brulee. Be careful with the desserts and they are HUGE. Perfect for sharing with... more

The menu selection is wonderful, the ambiance is one-of-a-kind, and Circa 1922 has a great wine menu. The baked brie is my favorite!!! more

Upon recommendation from one of the managers at the hotel I was staying at in Wilmington, I went to check out Circa. Circa 1922 is a tapas style restaurant with a very good wine selection as well. Going with the recommendation of my waitress (Jessica was delightful!) I had the house specialty paella, which may be the best I've had... more
