Great service and dinner

We had a wonderful dinner, beginning with the low country spring rolls with wasabi sauce. My husband had the herbed sautéed flounder and I had the seared ahi tuna. Both were amazing! The service was great, the view was amazing, even though we couldn't sit outside because of the rain.

The food was deliscious and if it was warmer out we would have loved to sit outside on the waterfront. Inside is warm and inviting! Staff was very attentive and knowledgable about the menu and the Wilmington area.

We were going to eat inside but it was too warm and stuffy (no a/c this day) so we ate out by the water despite the rather intense sun that couldn't be shaded at our table. The waterfront location is wonderful. The Lobster Mac/Cheese appetizer was quite large and delicious with lots of cheddar. Plenty of lobster too but not... More

My husband and I saw this restaurant while on a water tour of Wilmington, and went there for a light lunch. We were seated immediately. The southern egg rolls were delicious! I had the grown up grilled cheese, which was very delicious. They were served with freshly fried potato chips, both regular and sweet. The menu looks intriguing, and we... More

We called for a reservation and were told to come on in. When we arrived - 15 minutes later- it was a two hour wait. There were a number of open tables and we were then given a choice. Clearly some confusion. The oysters were in the final gasp of freshness- but it is April. The Collard soup absolutely delicious.... More

I have seen this place on several occasions during my visits to Wilmington and finally got an opportunity to visit. An older home that has been renovated into a restuarant. The fireplace in the front room along with the wood floors creates an exceptional environment for the evening. Let me not forget the view of the Cape Fear River that... More

We had eaten at Pilot House several years ago, and had been disappointed by their sister restaurant, Elijah's. They have remodeled, and the dining room is just lovely. We had hoped to eat outside, but it was a little chilly, and I loved the new decor still with a gorgeous view. I had the shrimp and scallops scampi, and my... More

Northerners coming south will find good shrimp and grits here with river views and, in the summer, open air seating along the river. We liked it enough to recommend it to others and would go back for the fish dishes and southern cuisine.
