Lunch was huge

I had the pork schnitzel sandwich and potato salad. I enjoyed the schnitzel, but there was a lot of bread. Also, I personally don't like warm potato salad. But the service was good and I would go again but just change my order.

Whenever we go shopping at the Cotton Exchange, a stop at the German Cafe is a must. Their sausages are delicious! We always save room for dessert. Try the cherry strudel- a hit with all of our crew.

I love german food and get to rarely have it so when I saw this cafe I was excited to go. The inside has a weird configuration but it was OK, to look at all the german decor. Made me feel like I was there. We ordered the Wurst plate and the Sauerbratten plus beer. The beer was authentic and... More

We stopped in for a beer and decided on the potato pancakes. We were pleasantly surprised how good they were and disappointed we had plans elsewhere for dinner. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. We then ordered the apple strudel to have later at our vacation rental. It was delicious. I read a few reviews for here and did... More

Accommodating and Helpful Our group arranged for a wine and food pairing. The restaurant was more than helpful and generous. We received multiple courses and wines with choices and service exceptional. I felt our group received exceptional value. I will definitely return for a venture to beers and and to explore the menu. There is an authenticity here that one... More

Even after seeing two HORRID reviews my partner and I decided to try this restaurant anyways. And I wish I could give you a review of the food but after we were escorted in by a woman who had the most sour look on her face we sat at our table for NINE minutes without a drink, or a waitress... We ate there last weekend. Being German all I can say is that the food was awful. We had a jaegerschnitzel that was all wrong. Greasy gravy, tiny schnitzel that were half breaded, on the menu it says ot comes with bell peppers and onions?!?!? NO jaegerschnitzel ever comes with that. The side was a dumpling that was made with... More

Was not the traditional schnitzel I grew up eating in Germany. Very greasy. Excellent potatoe cakes.

Having lived in Germany for many years, I was delighted to find this jewel in Wilmington. I am told they have been open for thirty years! I dined early on a weekday. The service was good. The wurst platter was delicious and reminded me of the "old country." They served a generous apfel strudel with whipped cream; a delicious desert.... More
