It was my husband Birthday and I looked up on TripAdvisvisor for a nice romantic , overlooking tile water and most important good food with reasonable prices!! They have 3 eating sections . One on the dock which it started to rain so we sat under the dome so we could still see the water and all the boats:) It... More

Usually, I thoroughly enjoy waterfront restaurants. Had it not been for the exceptional bar environment at Dockside, I doubt I would have remembered that this place exists. Downing alcoholic beverages with a gaggle of single female thirty-somethings was a fun precursor to a whirlwind evening in downtown Wilmington (with them, no less), but the food was not only unexceptional—even borderline... We called ahead for dinner reservations due to 8 adults and 2 children. We were seated indoors but upstairs and had a great view over the intercoastal and still had AC. We asked for 2 separate checks...our server - I wish I could remember your name (male) was a gem! He could tell we were in need of time to... More

Good food, decent service, and a nice view. Inside and outside seating ample even for the summer crowds. While not a menu item, the oyster po'boy was very good. Homemade slaw excellent. Massive quantities of shrimp in the shrimp and grits.

Went for lunch with kids. Husband ordered fried shrimp and I fried scallops. Shrimp was not deveined and scallops were so soggy they would drip when you lifted with fork. The best part was at least you have a great view. Very disappointing that the seafood could not be a little fresher. There is a little seafood market one street... More

Been coming to Dockside for many years. Today (Sunday), as has often been the case, we drove out of our way to get there. This time, we were beyond disappointed. We arrived at 11:30, departed at 12:40 having not been served. Tables all around us turned, we were assured "your order is next...sorry we had a large party"...etc, Nothing special... More

Great views of the inter coastal waterway, and of the docked boats. Friendly, energetic staff and great food. A must for the seafood lover. Just 100 yards off of the main road. Ample parking.

The reason to go to dockside is for the view -- and what a view it has. It's sits way on the beach with a panoramic view of just about everything. We sat outside on the pier -- after waiting about 15 minutes. We used that time to walk down to the end of the pier and look around. Again,... More
