Go for the drinks and view, not the food

This place kills it during the summer, only because of the tourist. It could be so much more. We'll go for early afternoon drinks, then go somewhere else to eat. They have one of the best views, oh and cold beer.. Come on Dockside, you could put out better food than you do.

Been here in the summer and now in winter! Ask to sit upstairs! The view is awesome! Food is good. Seafood is fresh. We had lunch. Should have been a little more adventurous with my choices maybe would have given 5*. Caesar salad with chicken, New Year's Day special (collards, black eyed peas, ham, no cornbread), and a fried flounder... More

The Dockside has amazing sound views and the seafood is wonderful. They have a great drink selection too making it a great place for a date or to bring friends.

What Kathy G said is true - during happy hour - everyone is at the Dockside having a beer or a wine. Some folks get pretty much sauced.by the early evening. So, its a great hangout place. I just find the overall quality of the food to be better than Bluewater. Again, Bluewater is okay, but the overall ambience of... More

Came on a Tuesday night and we were seated right away. Very casual, dockside view. Great for watching the boats come and go. No frills honest food. Good value. Would recommend to friends.

If you need to find your plumber, electrician or contractor he will be here everyday at 3:30 pm. It's the locals "office" and a great place to connect with friends for drinks/apps or a nice casual dinner.

Love eating at Dockside and walking with the kids down the pier to look at the boats docked there. Try to go there every time we go to Wilmington.

Fun bar for drinks and watching the boats. Beautiful ships at the dock. Long outdoor/indoor bar. One part is enclosed with plastic and heated in the winter. Nice bartender. They close around 9pm in the off season. Great water views.

Dockside is truly a classic, and has been on the land-side of the drawbridge since I can remember. They expanded their outdoor seating for a sweet local-boating community and tourist bar, where you can wait for a table inside or out, or just pull up for fuel and have a drink if there is a space at their little marina,...
