The reason to go to dockside is for the view -- and what a view it has. It's sits way on the beach with a panoramic view of just about everything. We sat outside on the pier -- after waiting about 15 minutes. We used that time to walk down to the end of the pier and look around. Again,... More

If you are looking for a simple "no frills" place located right on the water, then the Dockside is it! Dress code is very casual. People pull their boats up to the dock, so you would not be shocked to find people in their boat/bathing attire in both the restaurant and bar. No reservations are accepted and if you go... More

Dockside has an awesome outside area for enjoying a casual drink or having dinner with friends! Be sure to wait outside on the deck that overlooks the beautiful and active marina and Intercoastal waterway (it is worth the wait!!). For appetizers, be sure to order the Tsunami shrimp! Also, be sure to ask your server for their complimentary hush puppies!

One of the must go to restaurants when in the area. Located right on the water close to the draw bridge. The Dockside burger is one of the best you will find anywhere in the area. We're not really dessert people but you must try one of Caroline's desserts when there. Caroline does all the baking on site for the... More

After we finished our dive trip and stowed our gear, we needed a quick lunch and come AC to relax. Dockside was close and easy to get to. Servers seated us quickly and brought our drink orders. All smiles and quick service on the food. Good view of the harbor from our seats and had time to relax and talk... More

Visited this restaurant on May 26 for dinner, we were told there would be a 45 minute wait, OK. Went to the bar for drinks and apps, went to the bar for drinks and ordered two apps no server, apps never showed. After 30 minutes we were seated told server about apps and they were found 10 minutes later. We... More

Our family has been eating here since 1985 when we moved to NC. We continue to return every time we go to the beach because it has consistently been delicious. The food and service are very good and we love eating on the deck. The best time to go to beat the crowd seems to be about 4:00. After that,... More

My favorite thing about eating at the beach is fried shrimp. This shrimp tasted like it had been fried earlier. It was not crisp. Normally I love coleslaw in the south. Not this time. The creamy dressing was not there. Loved watching the boats and paddle boarders.
