Met my friend Don yesterday (Wednesday) for breakfast at 8am. The # 1 omelette was very good and quickly served. The customer service here is quite good, plentiful of refills if you need one. Servers were friendly with a smiling face. In addition, they did not chase you out if you linger for additional conversation.

The Original Salt Works on Oleander has a daily lunch special of a double cheeseburger, crinkle fries and a drink for $7.25 (includes tax). I've been going to the Salt Works ever since I was a young boy. Great hot dogs and chili. It's a must stop every time I come to Wilmington.

it's rare to find a gem like this and where the owner operator is actually the grill man serving up dishes like they do. phenomenal food and service. BOB is the man, no other way to put it. great breakfast and lunch. love the burgers!!! but be sure you're hungry. lol

Stumbled on this little restaurant and stopped for lunch. Small selection but exceptional taste and prices. Everything's like good ol home cookin! Missed breakfast but heard it's even better than lunch! You'll drive right by if you're not paying attention so make a point of looking it up and eating here!

In the way of hotdogs, worth the stop! If you like hotdogs and want a really good one, with that "old fashioned" feel of American food, this will please you.

The Original Salt Works is one of the best places to eat in Wilmington. Everything I've ever eaten here, whether it's for breakfast or lunch is always cooked perfectly. The staff is friendly, and while the food isn't the fanciest it's always tasty
