Good food

We have been here numerous time to eat. The food is good and our waitress was great this past saturday; however, the hostess has a lot to work on. Everytime we go in they have that "I don't care vibe". I get its the beach and your going for that laid back vibe but atleast put a smile on your... read more

This place is always packed with locals. The menu is extensive and sure to please everyone. While we have lunch there once or twice a month because it is so convenient, I would have to say their dinners are more impressive - but still in a diner type atmosphere.

My husband and I came upon this place, and now he can't wait to return when we visit the Wilmington area again. The staff were polite, and our waitress even remembered us from our first visit, in spite of the constant flow of people - always a good indicator that the food is done right. There is a large variety... More

I have eaten here many times and never had a bad meal. The service is great too. Fabulous desserts made in house to eat there or take home. I had a luncheon gathering in the outdoor area on one occasion and they set it up like a buffet for us. Everyone raved about the food.

This review is for the bakery section only. The title says it all. We purchased the Bear Claw (made different than most, and large), an Apple Strudel, and a Chocolate item similar to a cream puff but with an eclair filling. All delicious and fresh. Averaged out to about $3 per item. Easy parking in front. We would certainly recommend... More

We visited Sweet n Savory on a Saturday morning and although they were busy we only waited ten minutes for a table. Our waitress was courteous and we didn't wait long for food. The coffee is sub par but that's the only thing I don't recommend. My eggs were perfect cooked, which can be a challenge because I prefer them... More

I read a lot of reviews here & on Chowhound, looking for a place to eat in this area. S&S was overwhelmingly recommended by locals. It is a funky little bakery/café/pub/sports bar with a charmingly seedy-looking exterior where all of the sections are open to each other & the seating is simple--wood tables & booths. Specials are written in colored... More

Love the food for breakfast or lunch. Great variety. The Dixie California is my fave sandwich. Breakfast potatoes are great! Only disappointment was the quality of the biscuits. It tasted like the ones you buy frozen in a bag at the grocery store. Service is usually very good and attentive. It would be easy for wait staff to be overwhelmed... More

Nice cafe with a good menu. I was trying to decide between 4 items. I got the chicken salad sandwich with chips. It was really good and there was lots of food. In fact I could only eat half of the sandwich and the chips. I will definately be back!

We were staying in Wrightsville Beach for a quick, weekend getaway. I have eaten at Sweet n Savory before for lunch while in town for business and it was always delicious. We began by having dinner there on a Saturday night. There was live music which added to the experience. Not too loud, and singing the types of songs you... More
