My wife and I have lived in Turkey for a few months and loved the food, we recently found the Black Sea Grill last weekend and loved it. The server was a bit awkward, but the food was great and the owner (Jem) was very personable and friendly, we had a great time. Do not miss their Kunefe, we have... More

This was our fourth trip to the Black Sea Grill. We drive 246 miles especially to have dinner here. With John the front man and waiter, it was like old friends meeting again. Even the executive chef came out to talk with us a minute as they have done on the past. I had the baby lamb chops and the... More

Loved our meal. Perfectly cooked and spiced. Had a front window seat so we could watch activity on the cute little downtown street. The gentleman who waited on us was super nice. I would make a point of coming back to this small restaurant when back in town.

So many Trip Advisors and Yelpers raved about this restaurant that we decided to check it our for ourselves for lunch, Friday, June 14. Many reviewers took special note of the warm, welcoming service but our waitperson, the wife of one chef seemed hurried and distracted throughout our meal even though only two other small parties were there. We do... More

We have been to this restaurant a couple of times and find it to be one of the secrets in Wilmington for great food at a decent price. It is a small place with the owners doing the cooking and the menu is awesome. If you enjoy Mediterranean cuisine you have to try this place. I had the whole grilled... More

A friend and I met for shopping and suddenly realized it was lunchtime. She's a vegetarian, so I suggested we try Black Sea Grill since I had heard they had good salads. It turned out to be a great meal! I ordered the Shepherd salad and a chicken kebab which were fabulous. The atmosphere is inviting and the service was... More

This is a Turkish restaurant near the river in Wilmington, NC - the owners are friendly - they even took my son to the kitchen to see what a pita pizza would be, and they taught my husband to make Turkish coffee. The food was excellent, and everyone was happy with their meal!

despite the high reviews I found this restaurant to be average. Yes, the prices are reasonable but the flavor and presentation of the food leaves a lot to be desired,I can find tastier Mediterranean food at many other places in town, on top of that our waiter (John?) seemed unmotivated and, against his own believes, not very funny. He didn't bother to... More
