This restaurant is in a strip mall and unassuming. It deserves a better location on the water somewhere. It should be the #1 restaurant in Wilmington!. The food is so good, you want to go back and try everything on the menu. I had the shrimp, it was spectacular! We all tried a bite of each others food and it... More

My husband and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally decided to do so on my birthday. Our dining experience was great! Loved the grilled bread (had a second basket). I started with the sweet potato salad while hubby had the nom sod salad - loved both!! The grouper dinner was very good but... More

Surprised at people questioning "the ambience"...the restaurant is indeed in a nondescript strip mall surrounded by car dealers. However, inside the restaurant is tasteful, understated, and has original and interesting art on the walls...so nothing wrong about the atmosphere whatsoever. Food was quite good with unusual herbs and sauces...nice to have a change from the fried fish around Wilmington...my husband's... More

Hubby out of town? I'll go by myself! Chef Rhodes is fabulous, his food is delicious and served to perfection. He's been a great Wilmington chef since I found him at Deluxe, and I've never been disappointed. Oh, he's got a food truck too. Fresh food prepared daily. How can you beat seeing your dinner chef at the same farmers... More

We've visited three times, and many people in our community have also, and by far the most typical reaction is " "It's OK, but not great." On our most recent visit, the "signature" crab cakes appeared to be canned, shredded crab - not a lump to be seen. Some of others in the party enjoyed their dishes, but overall the... More

Excellent food and staff. Why not 5 stars? This location, in a strip mall, lacks the ambiance to go with the prices. While the food was indeed special, there was nothing to suggest "romance". Yes, I'm picky when it comes to 5 stars, unlikely reviewers who give 5 stars to fast food chains. That said, my wife and I shared... More

I had their food truck for the first time which I absolutely loved the sweet and sour tofu taco with a side of fried okra. Immediately I wanted to share this gem with my boyfriend so we went to the restaurant. I was not expecting it to be a high dollar place (whoops on my part) but it was a... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. I go there several times a year and it is always a great experience. I even proposed to my fiancée there. Every dish Chef Rhodes prepares is innovative and is composed, cooked and served as a special creation. A great restaurant experience without being stuffy or pretentious. My favorite dishes... More

My son-in-law and I found this restaurant on Yelp and what a great find. I had the Grouper and sweet potato and it was delicious. We did not have reservations but they seated us at the bar and found the staff most accommodating. Very good drinks, local oysters and fries as accompaniments. Highly recommended.
