Best French restaurant in Wilmington

The food is awesome, but the creamy dishes are too rich for me. I consider Caprice to be the best French restaurant in Wilmington. It is downtown, and parking can be a problem, but it's worth it!

I enjoyed my meal, but I am not rushing back. It was tasty, but pretty cramped restaurant and I wasn't overly impressed. I would go back again and try some other items on the menu.

We love the charm of this little bistro. The menu and food are always excellent . We like the consistency of the food, never a bad meal here. The ever changing home made sausages, being able to find good rabbit dishes and a great duck confit make this one of my all time favorite local restaurants. We are really fortunate... More

We dine here often. Its a simple but very well prepared French menu featuring seafood, steak, pasta, duck and great desserts. We enjoy dining upstairs - just a little less formal and same great food and service. You may want to consider reservations.

Belgian owned and operated this is a little downtown gem. All the feel and ambiance of a Belgian/French bistro, the food and service are very good. Try the steak frites and, especially, the waterzooi.

Our company like to have monthly dinners upstairs. The food and drinks are always great. But this is a great place to come on a date as well. There are a couple of sofa to sit on when just enjoying a drink

After living in London we have been hard pressed to find a first class restaurant in this area that could rival our favorite places in Europe....until now. I had moules.....better even than I have had in Brussels. Try the French onion soup and the rabbit sausage. Just superb. Creme brûlée is the best-an ample portion enough to share. Service is... Takes reservations. Service attentive but not intrusive. House wines werevery good. Wife had the duck which was excellent. My son and I had the steak frites with poive sauce, medium rare, cooked perfectly. Fries served with a side of mayonnaise. Not enough room for dessert. Price very reasonable for what you get. Oh, almost forgot- try the French onion soup-... More

My husband and I took a spur of the moment trip to Wilmington to escape our recent blizzard in Northern Virginia. Visited Caprice Bistro and had a 6:45 reservation. Seated right away. Ordered the calamari as well as the escargot in creme sauce that was the HIT of the whole meal. Outstanding. My husband ordered the French onion soup and... More

Friendly, efficient staff. Amazing French cuisine. My only regret was that, after sampling the Country Pate, the Waterzooi, and the Pork Roast we never managed to try their frites (which looked so good at tables around us... next time!) Thank you, Chris, for doing a great job taking care of us... your service was perfect!
