Quaint Restaurant with a nice staff

Nice sofa bar upstairs to wait for your table but be prepared to shell out some money when dining and drinking here. The food was pretty good but I thought they overcharge you just because it's French. And, don't try to swap anything out for dietary needs. They will let you add a side salad at an... read more

Caprice was a nice experience. (Almost) Authentic style with a nice setup and friendly staff. Service was american style so untrained kids but who would notice ? Food quite good, well prepared and warm. I did not really expect freshly and local made dishes but the small piece of lobster in the soup at least could have been warm :-)... More

I visited on a Sunday and sat upstairs at the bar. It's a nice, cozy restaurant, very welcoming. The bartender (I forget his name) was very knowledgeable of the menu, and provided great service. I had the bistro steak, which I believe was a flat iron on that night, and everything was fantastic. I'll definitely be back this summer on... More

If you're heading downtown Wilmington, Caprice is a must-go! My husband and I frequent Caprice on a regular basis since their food is consistently excellent. With the exception of a few times, we always eat upstairs, which is more cozy, fun and laid back (for us). Nine times out of ten we order the same meal: steak for him and... More

Keep thinking about the soup...believe what sends it over the top is a touch of nutmeg?? It was wonderful. All the food was great, the staff fun and the location excellent. Nice place for light meals or the full experience.

Our food was wonderful. The in house pate and the french onion soup are not to be missed. The soup was particularly flavorful as well as slighlty different. The broth was not the usual heavy beef broth, but somewhat lighter which allowed for other flavors to come through. Very nice.

Another visit, another excellent meal. Amazing salad (how often can you say that?) to start, that were meant to be followed with their amazing escargot in a rich, creamy sauce - but the server fumbled and the escargot hit the table just after the entrees. Still amazingly delicious, but would have been better in the proper sequence. Members of our... More

This restaurant is consistently serving high quality meals. My favorite choice is Waterzooi, a Belgian fish stew that never fails to delight Patricia, an owner, provides a welcoming touch to this outstanding restaurant.

Although the husband/wife combo are Belgian, his kitchen skills and her hostess demeanor are excellent, if not un-French like! By that I mean, all the good attributes of a French dining experience! We've eaten here a few times and have enjoyed the food, wine, and ambiance. This time, the only miss was service. We had to wait for a bit,... More
