In Wilmington on a short vacation, we booked our reservation at Caprice Bistro based on Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. We had the calamari and tomato tarte tatin for appetizers--both excellent, and generous portions. For entrees, we had the Beef Short ribs and Grouper, also excellent choices. Save room for the desserts--exceptionally scrumptious! The service was as amazing... More

After casting about for a place to eat in Downtown Wilmington we decided on the Caprice. As others have said the food is excellent and not overpriced. The seafood Waterzooie (mixed seafood in a pleasant sauce) was superb same goes for the calamari. The atmosphere is welcoming for both couples and families, not at all stuffy. We can also recommend... More

We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed all our entrees from duck confit to steak . As for the appetizers , the soup was outstanding and the calamari delicious. If only we had had room for the tart tatin !

In our opinion, possibly best total dining experience in Wilmington. Nice Belgian influence to the cooking, Professional service, thoughtful beverage offerings. Worth a detour.

We really had a nice meal here. The location is perfect Wilmington: located in a historic building on Market St., within steps of the Riverwalk. My wife had a seafood dish, which was really delicious. I tried the beef "stew". The flavors were wonderful, although the beef was just slightly overcooked. The staff was very helpful in helping us find... More

Nice sofa bar upstairs to wait for your table but be prepared to shell out some money when dining and drinking here. The food was pretty good but I thought they overcharge you just because it's French. And, don't try to swap anything out for dietary needs. They will let you add a side salad at an upcharge but not... More

Caprice was a nice experience. (Almost) Authentic style with a nice setup and friendly staff. Service was american style so untrained kids but who would notice ? Food quite good, well prepared and warm. I did not really expect freshly and local made dishes but the small piece of lobster in the soup at least could have been warm :-)... More

I visited on a Sunday and sat upstairs at the bar. It's a nice, cozy restaurant, very welcoming. The bartender (I forget his name) was very knowledgeable of the menu, and provided great service. I had the bistro steak, which I believe was a flat iron on that night, and everything was fantastic. I'll definitely be back this summer on... More

If you're heading downtown Wilmington, Caprice is a must-go! My husband and I frequent Caprice on a regular basis since their food is consistently excellent. With the exception of a few times, we always eat upstairs, which is more cozy, fun and laid back (for us). Nine times out of ten we order the same meal: steak for him and... More

Keep thinking about the soup...believe what sends it over the top is a touch of nutmeg?? It was wonderful. All the food was great, the staff fun and the location excellent. Nice place for light meals or the full experience.
