I celebrate my birthdays here as well as just stopping in for lunch and dinner. This is the only restaurant my husband will visit. Yesterday I was treated to a birthday lunch by friends and it was, of course, delicious and totally up to par. Mussels and the best french fries in town. A wonderful bottle of Pinot Gris, great... We were in Wilmington visiting my brother who was on the hospital. After a grueling 6 hour drive, we just wanted to relax. We found Brasserie du Soleil! It was such a pleasant evening. We had a scrumptious French onion soup, heavenly mussels in a saffron sauce, tuna tartare, and a nice vegetable risotto. The waiter recommended a nice oaky... More

My husband and I went to Brasserie with our neighbor on a busy Saturday evening. We had called ahead, so we were seated right away. The restaurant is noisy and the tables are too close together. However, it is an attractive restaurant and it is fun for people-watching. The bar is always jammed. That being said, we have always had... More

We have a 2nd home in Wrightsville Beach for over 20 years, and have loved each and every visit to Brasserie. It is a gem in an area noted for excellent food choices and ranks as our #1 favorite in the area.

It was a special for the evening. Venison chops and shank with root vegetables. It was extremely tender and the sauces were fabulous. The tuna tartare is also very special. I have been to the restaurant many times and it is always noisy unless you eat inside.

You would expect better from a restaurant of this caliber. We made a reservation for 4 at 7 PM on a recent Saturday evening. Upon arriving a few minutes early, we were told it would be 15-20 minutes. No apology, no explanation, nothing. THIRTY MINUTES LATER we were finally seated. Again, no apology. The fare was very good as was... More

We recently ate here to celebrate our son's 17th bday. The food was tasty overall, and the service was decent although not as it should be for a pricey place. Our son's filet mignon was the hit of the night. The problem at Brasserie is the noise level. The acoustics are terrible, and it is hard to have a conversation.

Me, my wife and daughter had dinner at Brassarie on Saturday, November 9, 2014. We arrived at 5PM and were promptly seated. This is our fifth or sixth time eating here as it is one of our all-time favorite restaurants. My wife and I had the escargot as an appetizer and it was excellent! I got the NY strip steak... More

As locals, Brasserie is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious and the service is always fantastic - the latter is not always easy to come. On our most recent trip, my husband and I met some friends for a weeknight dinner - he was very happy with his steak and I had perhaps one of the... More

One of our favorite places in Wilmington. They have a great (create your own) salad selection and all around fresh and tasty entree items. My husband favors the fresh flounder and I always have an excuse to eat the bistro fries! Usually good service although it may be somewhat noisy inside. Outdoor dining is available in good weather. And people... More
