Great experience, just remember that it takes time

We went for my fiancees birthday and it was a really good experience. The only thing was that it took like two hours to complete that experience between appetizer, drinks, entree, and no dessert. It is no fault of theirs at all, I just never had fondue and realized it took that long. Food was very... read more

We decided to celebrate Valentines Day the Thursday before in order to avoid crowds and terrible service. We booked a table with Open Table. I requested a cozy, romantic corner where we could sip and dip! When we arrived the reservation was spot on. Our table was a cozy corner booth with high sides all around. Our waiter, Spencer, was... My husband and I had a lovely leisurely meal here in December. Our waiter was attentive and made super suggestions! Thursday nights they have a Prix Fixe menu which gave us a little bit of everything. Unlike some fondue restaurants, we left full. It was a nice evening for a reasonable price for the type of establishment it is. They... More

Wonderful ambiance and food. Chose Little Dipper over the melting pot because it is local, great decision. Very good food and service, romantic quiet atmosphere.

I recommend splitting a meal because you get fondue, a soup or salad, and then your meal with individual dipping sauces. The four of us had an $80 bill - so it was only $39 a person and for that much food, worth it. It was a good experience but our party was near a loud annoying party so it... More

This was my first time going to ANY fondue restaurant. I decided to give this place a shot after hearing about it from others. The server was great as he explained all the pertinent information about cooking your food and helped me with the menu. You do have to spend some time with the menu and pick out all the... More

I am not a Fondue fan, but I found this restaurant to be very good. I did not made a reservation, so me and my stepfather had to wait a long time at the bar. It was a Wednesday night and the restaurant was very busy. Save your patience for the menu because it is too complicated. We had to... More

My husband and I LOVE Little Dipper. Whenever we have the chance to sneak away to Wilmington for a romantic weekend, we make this our dinner spot. The staff is friendly and great--the food is divine, and there is something special about the amount of time it takes to fondue your meal. It really makes you slow down and savor... More

Our family was in Wilmington NC for the weekend visiting friends and we stopped into the Little Dipper. We sat on the back deck and enjoyed some wonderful cheese fondue. We had not had fondue in a long time and it was a really nice change. There is something fun about selecting what you want to eat and dipping it... More

Our server was the wonderful. The food was good and the company was great. Plenty of courses and choices for a filling meal. But make sure to save room for dessert!
