Packed parking lot=good food!

When you pull up, you know the place is popular based on the size of the parking lot and how many cars (or trucks!) are there. But what about the real reason?? The food? Yes! The friendly waitstaff? Yes! The cops all eat here? Yes! The locals have their celebration meals here? Yes! They... read more

So I have been by the restaurant several times and wanted to try it. Very disappointed with the lunch menu and food served. I did look at the buffet however nothing special. Salad bar looked fresh and carried the usual for the area. I ordered a steak quesadilla, the streak itself was good however cut into such big pieces I... More

We just moved in this area and had heard about this place so we decided to try it out. There were three of us. My husband ordered the $16.99 scallops and flounder, I ordered the $9.99 beef tips and our daughter ordered off the kids menu-corn nuggets and mac n cheese for $5.99. We waited literally 25 minutes for our... More

My lady and I were passing through town on a weekend getaway looking for lunch. Searched tripadvisor to find a good place and decided to eat here. I ordered a small cheeseburger with bacon and french fries on the side...she ordered a taco salad, which she said was very good. That burger I are may have been the best burger... More

Had dinner here last night and was pleasantly surprised. Service was fast and very friendly. The thing that stood out most was that nearly all of the wait staff ( not just our waitress) stopped by to ask if we needed anything. They genuinely seemed interested in serving their guests. The food was also good. DW had sirloin tips with... More

Decided to try the Hitchin Post Friday night Seafood Buffet and it was very good. The service and wait staff was very friendly and they had a excellent salad bar. I would go early to keep from sitting in line. We went at 5 pm and it was not too crowded, by 6pm there was people waiting to get in.

We are new to N.C., and were out "exploring" when we drove past the Hitchin Post. What prompted us to turn around and stop the first time, was the number of cars turning into the parking lot! There was a 15 minute wait line, but trust me when I say it was well worth the wait!.The food was cooked to our... More

This was an awesome place to eat. We walked in and the interior will blow you away. When we made it to the bar, just walking thru the saloon style doors was fun. I personally talked to the owners and their input on the design and layout of this restaurant is incredible. And to top it all off, the beer... More

I have been past this restaurant many, many times but had never eaten there until tonight. The service and the food was great. The restaurant was very busy but we only waited about 10 minutes. Waitress kept a good check on us. Prices were reasonable. Buffet was good and was $11.99. I will return.
