We had lunch at the Stoney Knob Cafe after a looong drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway - in short, we were famished. Our party of two ordered a "regular" salad with steak and the homemade meatloaf, with sweet potato casserole and cole slaw. Both meals were very good, but not outstanding. I had the organic coffee and my husband... More

We really enjoyed our dinner here. We are vegetarians so had the mushroom ravioli and eggplant polenta. Both were outstanding. Service attentive without driving you crazy. Would definitely make reservations if you want to come here. It is very popular.

For a very reasonable price you get consistent quality from a large unique menu. Easy access from Route 26 (Exit 21) with good parking.

My husband and I visited Asheville, were staying up north and found this restaurant in Weaverville well rated. We loved it. it has a very unusual eclectic decor inside, making it worth it to see the whole place, every room, before you leave. I had the Polenta and Eggplant Napoleon - a vegetarian dish. It was great - polenta on... More

Amazing service, fabulous atmosphere, and a menu that begs to be tried! All plates we had were excellent, and then came the baklava ice cream pie - such fun!

Inn keeper where we're staying told us this is his favorite Asheville area restaurant. And know it's one of our favorites too. We had the watermelon salad, fried green tomatoes, duck tacos, and snapper special. It was all amazing. BUT the service was even better!!! I wish I could remember our servers name. She was delightful and attentive. PLEASE add... More

I found this place while driving on the road to Weaverville on a Friday night. I was in town for my annual girlfriends weekend so was driving around to kill some time until everyone arrived and we could check into the hotel. The parking lot was packed so that is always a good sign of any place and especially this... More

I stopped by for lunch after checking the online reviews of Stoney Knob. This is definitely a local favorite. I was disappointed that one of the daily specials turkey and dressing had sold out. So I opted for a lamb gyro and was very glad I did. It was very good the tzatziki sauce was very good and the lamb... More

Joined friends for dinner tonight at Stoney Knob. The table was set in advance of our arrival. The service was excellent and each meal ordered was picture perfect presentation and the taste and quality was amazing. We finished up with coffee and dessert and were totally satisfied.

My Wife and I live in Asheville, but consider this this restaurant our favorite. It is 10 minutes north of Asheville. We eat lunch about once every other week. We both have our favorites off the menu, but try to get the special. It is always unique and great food. Since I work close by, I have taken people from... More
