Fantastic atmosphere, but overpriced food

We had been in Asheville all week and wanted to stay a little closer to our rental cabin for the weekend, so we opted to try this place. It's a wonderfully restored old mill building, but it could be a lot better in the pricing and/or food. The property might have a view of the creek that used to... read more

WE went there for Thanksgiving dinner and the food was cold and tasted like it came out of a can with no other seasoning.

I have been to the Old Weaverville Mill Restaurant many times during the past 25 years. The produce is locally grown, the bread is fresh baked and the owner is always welcoming. The Mills is a small business that sets its own hours. The menu is small , the desserts are delicious and so are the vegetables. The Mill can... More

I'm a picker eater and was very pleased that the waitress went out of her way to accomodate my taste. Great service and a quaint atmosphere. Felt right at home. Loved the warm rolls!

I was at this restaurant 5 years ago and had a good meal. At the time the setting, the service and the food were worth the extra couple bucks. This time, oh dear, I was embarrassed to have recommended the restaurant to my sister. We arrived around 7:30p on a Thursday with no one else in the parking lot. At... More

My girlfriend decided to take me on a weekend get away to Asheville, NC coming from TN for Valentines Day. She had the weekend perfectly planned out, even a nice Valentines dinner at an interesting looking restaurant called Old Weaverville Mill Restaurant. As we pulled in at 6:45, we noticed that the restaurant parking lot was not full. This should... More

My dad remembered this place from 20+ years ago, so we tried it out when we were in Black Mountain after Christmas. A HUGE disappointment. The food was horrible (and that's NOT an understatement) and the service was awful. I saw only 1 waitress, but then again, there were only 3 groups of people, including us. The prices are unconscionable... More

Considering that we went to the Old Weaverville Milling Company restaurant in Weaverville, NC, for the food, we have to give it a "terrible" rating. If you want atmosphere, it is fabulous! The reasons we give the food an F are as follows. The portions were meager--so much so we were embarrassed for the restaurant. The presentation--what presentation? The food... More

This restaurant is located just 1/2 block off the main highway in Weaverville ( near Asheville NC) in an old historic Flour Mill. The ambience is superb with original wood flooring, clapboard siding, antique windows and hard mill fixtures still in place. We read a few reviews which stated it was good..... IT WASN'T. Our server was a 'newbee' and... More
