Had a celebration lunch with a friend. Atmosphere was relaxed and nice. I had a chicken salad sandwich with cheese and bacon with a side of loaded mashed potatoes. Delicious! Large portion sizes. Great service. Will definitely visit again.

Always great food and service. Meals cooked properly and served with flair. We enjoy going there each time in Waynesville for several years.

We stopped in for a birthday lunch and had excellent food and service. The food came out quickly and satisfied our appetite, we were stuffed! The restaurant was very clean and pleasant. The biscuits were wonderful and a nice addition. We will be back.

The Sweet Onion came highly recommended by the owners and staff of our B&B and their recommendation was well founded. There were six of us with a wide variety of tastes for food and the Sweet Onion's menu had something (many somethings) for us all. Everyone got a different item on the menu and every meal was excellent. I don't... More

I have dined at the Sweet Onion on a number of occasions for lunch. The food is always yummy and the service is great. I just wish they were open on Sunday's!

My husband and I couldn't wait for the hour and a half wait, so we are at the bar. Out bar tender was perfect. She was top notch, on her A game, and was very attentive to our needs. Our cheddar biscuits were delicious- could have just eaten those for dinner- but when our meals came out, I regretted filling... More

Very good food! Have not had a bad meal here yet. Nice atmosphere and scenic views of the mountains. Warning: the kitchen here loves spices and garlic. Eat what you love here but bring the acid reflux meds!. Will viist again.

My husband and I spent a weekend in Waynesville for our anniversary and chose The Sweet Onion based on it's menu of Southern staples as well as other favorite items of ours. We arrived at 5:15 on a Saturday night and had about a 30 minute wait, so I would definitely recommend a reservation if you want to be seated... More
