Great anniversary dinner

Had not been here in a while, but it was terrific as always. Fried green tomatoes with blue cheese appetizer was amazing. Arugula salad and bibb salad were perfect, as were the pastas. BLT for him, black & blue for me. Of course we topped it off with salted caramel chocolate cake. Great service and... read more

I visit Waynesville once a year with my sister as part of a Smokey Mountain trip. We were thrilled with The chef's Table last year and looked forward to our visit this year. My sister ordered the lamb and it was cooked perfectly. I ordered the amberjack, which the waiter described as a mild fish comparable to grouper. As soon... More

Chef's Table was one of the best restaurants I have ever been to (been to many)! The food was cooked perfectly. I tried a new fish (amberjack) and Josh cooked it special to accommodate my lactose intolerance. Two of the others had the shallot cream sauce on the fish and declared it scrumptious. Another of us had the deconstructed lasagne.... More

We have been in Waynesville many times and had never seen this excellent restaurant until tonight. The reviews we read were all very good but none can do it justice. Josh called himself to confirm our reservation. Andy was so welcoming and able to answer all our questions. Totally attentive. And then the food! Fried green tomatoes with crumbled blue... More

Chef Josh Monroe had created a lovely little restaurant where he practices the art of "farm-to-table" cuisine. He believes in the freshest ingredients and even grows them on his own 12 acre farm. A dish we had never had before was ordered. Bourbon Braised Berkshire Pork Belly with potatoes and a vegetable. It was wonderful. Also ordered was the Cowgirl... More

Spent an evening with 6 others at the Chef's Table. Between us we had mussels and awesome risotto balls filled with goat cheese for starters. The waiter brought out extra bread and insisted we use it with the extra mussel broth....to die for. The duck, pork belly and deconstructed lasagna were amongst the table's favorites and all were creatively designed... More

Enjoyed our dining experience at this restaurant and would definitely recommend it if you are in the area, The restaurant is small, seating capacity around 40 so reservations are recommended. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the daily special, the menu and very helpful with our order. The Pecan Encrusted Chicken was a favorite and the Creamy Chicken Marsala was... More

Amazing food! Very intimate atmosphere. I recommend reservations as there is not much space available and with food this good it fills up fast! We could see the chef through glass hand making pasta. The risotto appetizer balls were to die for. A bride and groom came in later to enjoy great food as well. Highly recommend!

Dinner and waitstaff were superb. The bourbon pecan encrusted chicken and braised pork tenderloin were cooked to perfection. Healthy portions. Presentation was very impressive. Can't go wrong here. Wish they were in my hometown.
