I think they can do better

We had dinner here with friends. The others loved their selections. I was less pleased, but I think the fault was mine for ordering "disassembled lasagna" (or something like that). The steak was very good, but it was overwhelmed by the sauce. Excellent menu and fair prices. So, as my title... read more

We celebrate our anniversary here every year since it falls during the time we travel to Maggie Valley (NC) for a golfing vacation. Never been disappointed. Attentive and friendly servers. Wine themed decor and nice ambiance, perfect for a romantic dinner. The wine cellar is well stocked. The made on site pasta is melt in your mouth delicious and the... More

This restaurant is one of my favorites. The food is all made in house, including the pasta. It is all locally sourced and you can tell by the freshness. The waiter, Andy, was one of the best that I have encountered. He was friendly, funny and helpful without being intrusive. From entrée to desert everything was excellent! If we are... More

My husband and I ate here last night and I can't say enough good things about it. I. Had the grouper in piccata sauce, served with risotto and asparagus. The grouper was very fresh, having been flown in that day, and there was absolutely no fishy taste at all. It had to be the best grouper I ever tasted anywhere.... More

We were here for dinner on a Tuesday night in July, and the first thing I would say is be sure to call ahead and get a reservation -- this may be the most popular place in Waynesville. Chef's Table stresses local providers and growers (they even have their own farm), and the food delivers all the menu promises. Lots... More

Great place for dinner. Reservations are necessary. A little pricey, but one of the best restaurants in Western North Carolina, including Asheville. The Low County Shrimp and Grits are especially great!

My wife and I were not expecting to find a dinner of this quality in a city the size of Waynesville, NC but, nevertheless, were overwhelmed by the quality and sophistication of the dinner and service experienced at the Chef's Table. Our server, David, was pleasant and caring, the bourbon chicken my wife ordered and my crab cakes were each... More

LOVED this restaurant! Check the hours for sure before you go AND I would definitely recommend reservations. This is a very cute and quaint restaurant. Two dining rooms flank the kitchen prep area. The chef lives nearby and has his own farm that also employs the restaurant staff during the daytime. Many of the menu items flow from what is... More
