Panacea is a great place to just chill end enjoy a cup of coffee. We usually buy a couple of the dark roast to take home until we can get back to Waynesville.
This coffee house is immensely large and has a boho look to it. There is also a back patio to the shop over looking the river, which is tranquil. The coffee is really great, they add a coffee bean to your coffee & that adds a little touch of chic to it.

My husband and I visited this restaurant at the advice of a friend. He particularly liked the warehouse atmosphere and the coffee. I ordered the Tarzan and Jane salad and could not eat it. The dish consisted of a large load of coconut, pineapple, granola, and cranberries on mixed greens. It was not good. My husband ordered the grilled Chicken...

Great sandwiches and wraps and tea and coffee and ambiance - especially like being out on the back deck on the creek in good weather. Then I can walk a block down to the art and pottery shop for a nice visit and a great afternoon getaway.

Visiting adorable Waynesville over the holidays, we were invited to Panacea for lunch. It resembles a NY city loft, open, wood, with the aroma of coffee. They grind their own and sell it. The lunch menu is varied and innovative. I had the vegetable cheese soup which was perfect for a chilly day. The half sandwich was on a fresh...

The price is totally unjustified for the amount of meat on the sandwich! They serve their sandwiches with pretzels and fruit. The apple slices still had seeds. They didn't...

What an awesome place. It was wonderful to see that they have keep the building that way it was instead of trying to modernizing it!!! Great Job!!! You have to try the Hen House or the Devilious (turkey and brie....Yum). Both indoor and outdoor dining....love sitting by the creek it was very peaceful. The smell of coffee when you walk...
