I am a local and I find that the menu is lacking in versatility . Tables are small and chairs are not very comfy. Out of towers tend to like it as this place stays busy. But I am on impressed.

My lunch was tasty and "interesting". I tried the "special", an open faced shaved ham sandwich with a pineapple salsa and roasted red peppers over a very good bread. Presentation was creative and made me want to poke around and explore the dish. The appetizer special was sliced flat iron steak wrapped in phyllo pastry and other goodies. I declared... More

My husband and I highly recommend this restaurant. We live in New Orleans where restaurants abound, but this is one of our favorite places. They always have unique offerings and twists on old favorites. It's casual, yet elegant. The service is always great (we think Jacob is fantastic) and the food always consistent. It's off the beaten path of Main Street,... More

Went early, not crowded. Good service and all employees were friendly. Started with the lobster cheesecake - wow, was that good. I had a flat iron steak, cooked perfectly, with delicious roasted potatoes. My wife had shrimp and grits that she said was delicious. Had a good dark beer. Waiter did a good job. A totally pleasant experience.

I have eaten at BBBA several times, and I've never been disappointed. I met a friend there last night and we had an excellent meal. We had a bottle of wine based on our servers suggestion, and it was perfect for both of our selections. I had the potato parmesan encrusted flounder....It was amazing! It was served w/ basil infused... More

I've eaten here three times and each time it was incredible! The Creole Shrimp and Grits are incredible - my last visit I had the barbeque pulled pork with an incredible stack of lightly breaded and fried zuccini, squash, and green tomato. The barbecue was the most tender I have ever eaten. Make sure and order a dinner salad ---... More

We didn't need reservations this time and the place was pretty empty on a weeknight. The Margaritas were very good. Our waitress was a little flighty and not very interested. In past visits, the owner was always present and we really missed her welcome and visit to our table. The food wasn't anything spectacular this time. The rooms are decorated... More

The Bourbon Barrel is a lovely little restaurant located in the Hazlewood section of Waynesville. The atmosphere is charming, the staff is attentive, and the food is very good. Last night we brought our nephew who again ordered the steak and smashed potatoes and enjoyed every morsel. My husband again devoured the pork chop. Before we went I had gone... More

We make up special occasions to come here. The food and service are both excellent. The full service bar isn't huge, but it's friendly. When the restaurant is crowded it can be a little noisy, but the staff will work with you to seat you away from the mainstream diners. The food is consistently good and their menu should suit... The service from the host Karen who was sweet on the phone and running around to make sure no one would have to wait longer than need to our server Jacob who really explained everything- it couldn't have been better. The good was fresh and creative; almost more of an art form then just a meal. So wonderful- we were... More
