We went here for breakfast. Service was great. Food was good, but a little greasy. It was crowded with locals which is always nice. I would recommend Clyde's over just about any other fast food place that serves breakfast.

I remember eating at Clyde's with my grandfather when I was 10 and it's still there. This is my moms favorite restaurant. Ok, meatloaf day is great. It's not fancy, it's not for foodies, but if your looking for a meat and three, or a good basic burger and fries, Clyde's is the place. It's a Waynesville tradition. they do... More

Clyde's has the best Western Omelette ever! I like them cheesy and full of goodies...ham, peppers, and onions. They are country style...hot...fast, huge and a bit greasy...not dry. I also get the shredded hash-browns and order them crispy. My husband like the salsa so he gets it with his omelette. We always look for Bobby as he is friendly and... More

If you are looking for meat and 3 veg in a down home atmosphere, this place will fill the bill. I'm a vegetarian and it was nice to have a veggie plate offered on the menu even if the green beans were out of a Sysco can. My friend had the meatloaf special and said it was just like mom... More

Clyde's Restaurant has delicious home cooking meals just like meals my mom, granny and grandmother made.

I stopped at Clyde's years ago on my way to East Tennessee after spotting the billlboard -- where the home folks eat. True to its word, it is a local favorite and a place our family has stopped in many times when traveling to and from Georgia. Daily specials (meat and three veg) and a varied menu means everyone in... More

good food if you stay with the homestyle cooking. when you order something a little higher end the cooks are not quiet up to the task.

About a year ago, my aunt was dying from cancer. She had quit eating. I asked her if there was anything she could eat and she said she loved the food from Clyde's. I went and got her a plate and some of their peach cobbler. She are every bite! Every time I went to visit, I would go get... More

Clyde's is a local (Waynesville, NC) family type restaurant with many choices for burgers, sandwiches, soups and meals. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices are reasonable. All the burgers and sandwiches we have tried have been good. A few times we have tried the full meals and haven't cared for them that much. It's homestyle/country cooking, but our opinion... More

Great home-cooking. Open-faced roast beef sandwich is my go-to, filling lunch. Excellent, huge cheese-steak sub is also always great. Very good sides too, especially fried green tomatoes and okra. Breakfasts are not a great value, but I've heard other people liked them. I've never had room for dessert, but the cakes and pies look really good on the counter. Very... More
