Had a delicious lunch today with my friend. I had roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, squash casserole, a salad, dinner rolls, and Apple spice cake. Yum! We try to get Lisa every time we go. She always takes very good care of us. :)

Everything on the menu is great. Just like eating at your grandmother's house. Save room for dessert like blackberry cobbler.

The breakfast platter is exceptional. Bacon cooked perfectly not wimpy. Eggs absolutely the best I've tasted in years and very large. Several choices in toast or pancakes. Coffee incredible. A must do this again sort of place.

Nothing fancy, in fact if you look around you'd swear you were back in the 60's. Food specials every day, always burgers and fries, fresh and hot! It's true what they say "where the home folks eat" Others are welcome!

Clyde's parking lot is always full. The specials are good and you can't beat the prices. Staff is great! Upon walking in the front door you have to walk past the restrooms. The women's on one side the men's on the other. Wow what a greeting! The smell of urine and those strong sweet bowl deodorizes will almost knock you... More

Walking in the front door YOU HAVE TO WALK PAST THE BATHROOMS! Doors are kept open and reek to sky high of nastiness... Strong odor of urine! My mistake to have stayed. I was so grossed out the whole experience was disgusting. Not to mention there is more to tell. The salad was old and full leaf slim! The dishes... More

We always dine at Clyde's when in western North Carolina. It's a simple family restaurant with great service, hot food and good prices. We always go straight for the specials and are really happy when meatloaf is one of them. Never been a big fan of the dessert menu but the rest of the meal is worth the stop.

We enjoyed a tasty down home lunch at Clyde's today and I must say I truly enjoyed the experience. The food was plain but delicious and very affordable. The server was a very adorable country girl. The experience was a bit like stepping back in time. Old fashioned booths. Fresh food from local ingredients. The only downside is the bathrooms.... More

Had the dinner special (meatloaf) and it was very good and really well-priced for what you got. A little underwhelmed by the desserts (had cheesecake and a boxed lemon pie); however, the service was great! Our waitress was very friendly and didn't balk when we split the check in an odd way. My only complaint is the unfortunate smell from... More
