Nothing fancy, in fact if you look around you'd swear you were back in the 60's. Food specials every day, always burgers and fries, fresh and hot! It's true what they say "where the home folks eat" Others are welcome!

Clyde's parking lot is always full. The specials are good and you can't beat the prices. Staff is great! Upon walking in the front door you have to walk past the restrooms. The women's on one side the men's on the other. Wow what a greeting! The smell of urine and those strong sweet bowl deodorizes will almost knock you... More

Walking in the front door YOU HAVE TO WALK PAST THE BATHROOMS! Doors are kept open and reek to sky high of nastiness... Strong odor of urine! My mistake to have stayed. I was so grossed out the whole experience was disgusting. Not to mention there is more to tell. The salad was old and full leaf slim! The dishes... More

We always dine at Clyde's when in western North Carolina. It's a simple family restaurant with great service, hot food and good prices. We always go straight for the specials and are really happy when meatloaf is one of them. Never been a big fan of the dessert menu but the rest of the meal is worth the stop.

We enjoyed a tasty down home lunch at Clyde's today and I must say I truly enjoyed the experience. The food was plain but delicious and very affordable. The server was a very adorable country girl. The experience was a bit like stepping back in time. Old fashioned booths. Fresh food from local ingredients. The only downside is the bathrooms.... More

Had the dinner special (meatloaf) and it was very good and really well-priced for what you got. A little underwhelmed by the desserts (had cheesecake and a boxed lemon pie); however, the service was great! Our waitress was very friendly and didn't balk when we split the check in an odd way. My only complaint is the unfortunate smell from... More

The food was very good and the service was fast. The staff was really friendly. They were willing to be flexible with order. Servings were very generous and food all around us looked good. It was a nice vacation breakfast with heavy foods we don't eat as a rule....country ham, grits, buttered grilled English muffins, etc. (we usually eat oatmeal... More

We had breakfast here, the service extra quick and food good but it was breakfast, hard to mess it up and when looking at the menu you can not only read what offered but see it as well.

We found Clyde's because it was close to Best Western, where we were staying. The parking lot was packed so that told us something. We were seated very fast and the Waitress was very nice and very helpful. She showed us the Sunday special and it was Delicious.I got the Country fried steak and the Wife got the fresh fish. There...
