Description: A Unique Farm to Fork Experience: Innovative Southern Food with a Local Backbone & Home Grown Libations Frogs Leap Public House is a farm to table country pub at the corner of Church and Montgomery Streets, built in 1918 as the southeast's first Buick dealer just one block south of Main in the heart of historic downtown Waynesville. FLPH is focused on the culture, art, music, wine, beer and especially the food of Western North Carolina. Like the City of Waynesville itself, FLPH is Southern down to its roots, but draws influences from around the world. While I agree with the majority of the food reviews, there's more to dining out than the food. Of course the food is most important, and I wouldn't mind eating some of their offerings everyday, like the brussell sprouts salad, yum. ( although some of the dishes are made too sweet for me, lots of maple syrup) But . .... More

We love their food and especially like that they source almost everything locally. It's a very farm to table kind of place and we enjoy their creativity.

We had lunch at Frogs Leap Public House during a daytrip to Waynesville (looking at autumn leaves). It was wonderful. The food selection demonstrated the farm to table style. Many foods were prepared in the wood oven. We loved the grilled cheese with jalapeños. The collard greens had a wonderful hot vinegar sauce. My husband loved the brisket meatloaf with... More

Looks like a great restaurant... Too bad we couldn't get past the snotty lady at the front door! A shame because everything else in Waynesville screams welcome!

One of our favorite Waynesville eateries. Creative kitchen, consistent quality, mostly friendly and enthusiastic staff (although the inital greeting is often brusque).

The ambience, including the warm surroundings and down-home music set the tone for comfortable, casual yet elegant dining. I recommend the Sweet Onion Bisque and the salad with the goat-cheese fritters--also they have a good wine list. The service was friendly and well informed. It was a great Saturday night dining experience---but be certain to have reservations.

If it weren't for the fact that the food was excellent our waiter was outstanding, we would not return to the Frog Leap public House. We enjoy leisurely meals and told our amazing waiter that at the start of the evening. We had 6:30 reservations and shortly before 8, we were perusing the dessert menu. Just a few minutes later,... It was not our intention to make you feel as if you simply needed to leave, and we apologize that you left feeling that way Saturday night. In the midst of one of our busiest nights of the year, with an hour and forty-five minutes allocated for a party of two, we were trying to ensure that all of our... More

Stumbled onto this place via google and TA, went for lunch before checking into our inn. TOP SHELF service, amazing food creativity. We had a really nice meal in Asheville the night before at a foodie spot and this lunch SO topped it. Worth the drive from Asheville or spend some time in Waynesville. It's an amazing public house -So... More
