Description: A Unique Farm to Fork Experience: Innovative Southern Food with a Local Backbone & Home Grown Libations Frogs Leap Public House is a farm to table country pub at the corner of Church and Montgomery Streets, built in 1918 as the southeast's first Buick dealer just one block south of Main in the heart of historic downtown Waynesville. Fully 75% of the menu had pork or shellfish in the dish, and I don't mean the kind that you can ask to have left out. The first time we ate here, it was amazing. The second time, not so much. Next time, I'm going to call ahead to see if there's anything on the menu we can eat.

FLPH is a great place for special occasions or just a night with friends. Not only is the menu ever changing but it's creative. You can't go wrong with the meatloaf anytime! The sliders are awesome and so is the pork belly. The beer is always local and exciting to try! One of the best things about eating here is... More

We have enjoyed dining here in the past and were lucky to reserve two seats at the chef's bar next to fun people. The fall winter menu reads lovely. A bit heavy on some ingredients that repeat. Honey and smoked items particularly. The brisket meatloaf was epic actually, but the little macaroni used with it read pedestrian to me. Both... More

Almost complete opposite experience to our first visit. Service was fine, but nothing special. Appetizer was decent, but certainly nothing to rave about - crispy goat cheese/pistachio bonbons. Small portion. My wife's broccoli cheddar soup was completely overpowered by paprika and she noted very little broccoli within. The cheesy grits were very good and the best thing today. Burger on... Friendly staff, but fancy names for average food. What the heck, they don't take AmEx ! Join the real world, people.

I can't stop talking about this place!! We told all the locals we met and we are telling all our friends back home. Wonderful farm to table concept, excellent service, craft beers, nice wine list, seasonal menu. We can't wait to come back.

Farm-to-table at its best. Menu is creative. Nice bar, too. Sit at the back bar and watch the chefs in action. Can get crowded in season. Suggest getting a reservation.

First off, the atmosphere is incomparable. The entire dining room and bar area look like they are out of a painting. I've read several reviews concerning the hostess and I have a hard time believing them as the experience I've had with the hostess was perfectly fine. In fact, she recommended three dishes to me off her head that weren't... More

I brought a friend who hadn't dined here before to lunch. We went inside at 11:27. The place was empty. I asked to be seated near the window and the hostas said they weren't open until 11:30 hostess and they couldn't seat us. I said that is in 3 minutes!!! She said it was a Liability issue! I said that... More

The food was supreme and the service was very good. The only complaint was the smoke smell from the kitchen. They use local farmers and the quality is evident. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice meal with some interesting options. One caution... My wife doesn't like anything even the least bit spicy and options for her... More
