Description: A Unique Farm to Fork Experience: Innovative Southern Food with a Local Backbone & Home Grown Libations Frogs Leap Public House is a farm to table country pub at the corner of Church and Montgomery Streets, built in 1918 as the southeast's first Buick dealer just one block south of Main in the heart of historic downtown Waynesville. FLPH is focused on the culture, art, music, wine, beer and especially the food of Western North Carolina. Like the City of Waynesville itself, FLPH is Southern down to its roots, but draws influences from around the world. The food is fresh and local, the libations are home grown, the music is American and has a beat. FLPH is home to a family with a passion for serving world class food, wine, and spirits in a soulful, comforting atmosphere.

Looks like a great restaurant... Too bad we couldn't get past the snotty lady at the front door! A shame because everything else in Waynesville screams welcome!

One of our favorite Waynesville eateries. Creative kitchen, consistent quality, mostly friendly and enthusiastic staff (although the inital greeting is often brusque).

The ambience, including the warm surroundings and down-home music set the tone for comfortable, casual yet elegant dining. I recommend the Sweet Onion Bisque and the salad with the goat-cheese fritters--also they have a good wine list. The service was friendly and well informed. It was a great Saturday night dining experience---but be certain to have reservations.

If it weren't for the fact that the food was excellent our waiter was outstanding, we would not return to the Frog Leap public House. We enjoy leisurely meals and told our amazing waiter that at the start of the evening. We had 6:30 reservations and shortly before 8, we were perusing the dessert menu. Just a few minutes later,... Stumbled onto this place via google and TA, went for lunch before checking into our inn. TOP SHELF service, amazing food creativity. We had a really nice meal in Asheville the night before at a foodie spot and this lunch SO topped it. Worth the drive from Asheville or spend some time in Waynesville. It's an amazing public house -So... More

I know it's a shame, but after eating here at least six times I'm unable to find anything I don't like ... a lot! It's a great place to take guests and expect to find something just a little different than anywhere else. I've never felt like I didn't get what I paid for. Although a bit pricier than the... More

The food was very good and tasteful, but I could have held the quantity in the palm of my hand. Both my wife and I had salads for lunch. She is a light eater and was very disappointed with the portion size. Both salads were very, very small. Hers was much smaller than a side salad at most restaurants at... More
