We were in town staying at a bed and breakfast and decided to eat someplace nice for our anniversary. We made a reservation at the Frogs Leap Public House. It had a great atmoshere. Service was perfect with an attentive server who had great suggestions. We ate soooo much. It was all fantastic.

The chef/owner of Frog's Leap has a real genius for designing menus. And that's a good thing, because the menu changes constantly, based on whatever is fresh and available locally (the menus are dated!) even in the bar, where local fruits and herbs are used in signature drinks. It's the combinations that are intriguing: Pimento cheese is sandwiched between fried... More

We've been here before and have had a great experience but the biggest disappointment this time was the food. My drink and the soup were the tastiest part of the whole experience. The fried green tomato dish was mostly breading and too salty as was my husbands pig ear appetizer. The fried onions on the Caesar salad were not delicate... More

We have been coming to Waynesville for 10 years and were unaware of Frog's Leap. Our experience was outstanding. The food and service were first class. I especially enjoyed the trout. Our experience was so good, we returned the following evening!

We've heard and read great things about this restaurant, and were excited to finally try it tonight. We came in with our one year old, ready to be seated, when the host advised us they don't carry high chairs at FLPH, only booster seats. My daughter is much too small to safely and comfortably sit in a booster seat, so... More

Sad I haven't found this restaurant before now! Food and service was top notch. Love the bread they bring before the meal. The trout was out of this world tasty! We also had the pork and meatloaf... All fabulous! A must try if you are in the Waynesville area. We made a reservation and I would recommend if you want... More

We recently spent a week in North Carolina--with a goal to sample as many "local" restaurants as possible with regional cuisine. We sampled mant of the highly rated Asheville restaurants--and found Frogs Leap--by accident through Open a Table--as we found our way to the Maggie Valley. The food at Frogs Leap was our favorite of the trip. It was fresh,... More

Enjoyed tasting their craft beers and loved the location along the river. We were able to enjoy the tables outside on a beautiful sunny day while drinking our refreshments.

While about on the pricey side, this restaurant has quite a variety of selections - some unusual (to this reviewer) but delicious combinations. Try an appetizer, salad or soup and leave room for desert...do not be afraid to ask questions to learn what the entree is like or how it is cooked. enjoy!
