Always Something Different

We live in Waynesville, and eat here frequently. The chef always has new creations on the menu. With this in mind, if you have a 'favorite,' you might want to eat it now, because it may be off the menu and replaced by something equally as good next time you go! This was our second visit to the Frog's Leap. The food is just spectacular, inventive and delicious. Taking Southern standards and adding a twist. The cocktails in the adjoining bar are also outstanding.

I was very pleased with the taste of the entrée I ordered. It did not seem to be something I would like, but it really tasted yummy. The service was very good. I don't know if I will go running back, but it was enjoyable for a first time. I guess the everything a la carte including bread, makes me... More

The service at Frogs Leap was impeccable -- attentive without hovering -- and the atmosphere was a perfect balance of classy, casual and comfy. The food was very good, fresh, prepared very creatively. A couple of the items we ordered, however, we thought were a bit overwrought, like the goat cheese dip for the (wonderful!) fried okra appetizer, and the... More

The little town has some great places to eat, that is for sure. Frog's Leap is by all means at the top of our list. The fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese was just delicious. The service was a little slow, but the atmosphere and food made up for it. It's located close to lots of shopping, market place and... More

Everyone was impr seed with the u issue flavored and fresh food. We had the same waiter, Nevel, and we listened... More

We really enjoyed Frog Leaps Public House. We made reservations via open table for 6:45. Got there early and had a lovely handcrafted grapefruit martini that the bartender recomended based on a discussion of my likes and dislikes. Our table for 2 was comfortable and waitress was attentive. Menu changes daily based on what's in season. Enjoyed fried okra spears... More

Can't believe this restaurant isn't ranked higher in Waynesville-it was a wonderful meal. Service was excellent. Crab cakes and ribs were delicious. Even the kids chicken fingers were delicious:). Would definitely return!

Great farm to table restaurant with great service. Gotta check out their fried okra w/ smoked goat cheese dip! YUMMO!! Also, check out their caesar salad that has chucks of fried cheese. Wonderful service!! Wish we had room for dessert from their large dessert menu. Don't forget to check out their partnering business "The Montgomery Street Market" downstairs from the... More
