We were fortunate enough to receive a gift certificate for 2 nights at this wonderful place. We enjoyed every minute we spent there. From the moment we walked into the Inn and were greeted by a lovely lady who made us feel that we were the most special guests she had that day to the gourmet lunch that we had... More

We enjoyed 2 nights in the terrace room in mid October. The leaves were not at their peak but the view from the porch was idyllic. The owners have truly thought of every detail for a perfect inn experience. Each course of food was very good. We enjoyed hiking the nature trail, Hemphill Bald and the Waterfall trail. We had... Forgive my review for being a bit lengthy, but upon our decision to try this place I wished there had been more extensive reviews on TripAdvisor. So, here goes: My husband and his best friend were celebrating turning 30 and the wives thought it would be a good excuse to finally try the Swag. We decided to go for dinner... More

We had the opportunity to take in the weekday picnic at the Sway last week. It was wonderful. Since we were not guests we made a reservation and drove up to the Inn. The drive up is something but well worth it. The picnic is held out on a point a 1/2 mile from the Inn. It is the best... More

This is another unique restaurant in Haywood County. Very Pricey but nice for special occasion. Have also taken several hikes there where they supply the backpack, food, and hiking stick. Their dessert was to die for!!!!! I highly recommend doing the back-pack lunch.

Lovely and isolated! Gooseberry knob view extraordinary! Appetizers were good and the porch was lovely. Wait staff was very pleasant but they knew nothing about the food or the payment process. The steak was good but the potatoes over cooked. The halibut was unrecognizable, by me and the waiter. It was mushy and bland as was the rest of the... More

No matter what, have a meal at the SWAG. Pay the price, and go early and walk around. They have mastered every detail of customer satisfaction. The owner tells a story on the property before the meal. Heartwarming. Julie was amazing to work with. Sure wish she lived in Florida! Go, go go!

Breakfast buffet -- lots to choose from, including vegetarian and gluten free. No sit-down lunch in the dining room, but a backpack or sack lunch is provided. Dinners are served at the tables. Small portions but we never left hungry. Great desserts and entrees. Waiters are friendly and work very hard to keep everyone happy.

My wife and I had our first visit last June to the Swag. We weren't sure what to expect...but we were extremely pleased at the end! First, the grounds are simply amazing. Beautiful views everywhere you look...and, great hiking trails on the property. There are plenty of 'hideaways' hidden off the trails. A very nice touch, a hint of privacy... More
