Average staff who smelled of stale cigarette and spent more time texting on their phones than attending to their customers.

A breakfast buffet to start the day with a bang! While smaller than some selections at major chains, this was a very tasty value. Custom omelets, fresh waffles, great biscuits, excellent sausage gravy, and creamy grits..... and the service was excellent. The facility is lovely .... a few minutes spent quietly on the huge veranda looking at the brilliant fall... More

We had read great reviews so we went for our 23rd anniversary this past weekend. We waited for the hostess for 10 minutes before we were seated (we got there about 5:30). Tried to make reservations but no one answered the phone. The sweet tea was old and cloudy. Food was good but not worth the $69.00 price tag for... More

The Cork and Cleaver is a great restaurant. Was a little difficult to find as it is the Waynesville Inn with limited signage, but well worth the trouble it took to locate it. The food and service was really excellent.

The food was delicious but if we hadn't gone early the service for diners near us was quite slow. We were with a large group that booked almost the entire resort so that could explain why there was slow service since so many of us wanted to dine at the same time.

Both of us had a "3 course" dinner for $20 each- consisted of salad, entree w/side & dessert. The pork was ok, the beef very good.

This is a very good restaurant with excellent views of golf course and mountains. Food was high quality and there are plenty of excellent choices. Tony does a wonderful job with cocktails and is knowledgeable of the wines available offering personable, friendly service. The early evening specials are quite good, particularly the trout, as are the selections from the main... More

We had a wonderful dish (their special of the day) of North Carolina Sea Bass that was absolutely delicious! In addition, a ribeye steak cooked to perfection. The service was impeccable and the facilities extremely clean and well kept (I base a lot on restroom cleanliness as well) overall a delightful, enjoyable evening.
