Really nice Thanksgiving Dinner buffet

My wife and I recently visited Waynesville over Thanksgiving and we glad to see that the Cork and Cleaver was offering a buffet. We made reservations through OpenTable and it wasn't too crowded when we arrived at 12:30. The price was $24.95 as I recall which was a very good deal for what was... read more

We are so thrilled to discover this restaurant. We enjoyed every aspect of our dinner. Our server, Alan, was knowledgeable and courteous and seemed to sense just when to stop by our table. The menu offerings were imaginative and included an interesting variety of choices. The wine list was also very impressive. The chef here is fairly new and we... More

Greeted by Amy who showed the four of us to our table. Server was Shannon. Both very perky and very attentive. We ordered wine, appetizers, salads and entrees. All were perfectly prepared. These included pan seared Salmon, fillet and shrimp, short ribs and fillet. All were accompanied by 3 sides. There were only two selections for desert, but our Key... More

The food was wonderful. Chef Jay came out to meet us after we exclaimed our appreciation of the delicious food to Amy (waitress). I think Chef Jay and Amy are pretty new at Cork & Cleaver, however, they seem to be very experienced at providing excellent food and service.

New Chef...Attentive staff! I live in Charleston, the home of fine cuisine. This chef is hands down better than 90% of the chefs there. If that's not enough to get you to try this place, then ask for Amy as your waitress. She truly makes you feel as you are the only customer in the entire restaurant!! Light, fresh and... More

Average staff who smelled of stale cigarette and spent more time texting on their phones than attending to their customers.

A breakfast buffet to start the day with a bang! While smaller than some selections at major chains, this was a very tasty value. Custom omelets, fresh waffles, great biscuits, excellent sausage gravy, and creamy grits..... and the service was excellent. The facility is lovely .... a few minutes spent quietly on the huge veranda looking at the brilliant fall... More

We had read great reviews so we went for our 23rd anniversary this past weekend. We waited for the hostess for 10 minutes before we were seated (we got there about 5:30). Tried to make reservations but no one answered the phone. The sweet tea was old and cloudy. Food was good but not worth the $69.00 price tag for... More

The Cork and Cleaver is a great restaurant. Was a little difficult to find as it is the Waynesville Inn with limited signage, but well worth the trouble it took to locate it. The food and service was really excellent.
