We had breakfast on our last day at Hatteras. It was fresh made but served on flimsy disposal plates. Coffee needs some attention. Great staff and great location.

Great great food. We've never had a meal there we didn't really enjoy. The staff is always friendly and accommodating!

This cafe had amazing food. My family and I are not usually the type to explore something new as in foods choices. I usually stick with salads, my husband sticks with fajitas or burgers. My kids stick with chicken fingers or a baked chicken meal. The first night we ate here the food was so amazing we came back the... More

Very pleasant service with fresh tasting breakfast wraps and really authentic grits. The bacon is also first rate. The pancakes were on the tough and on the dry side but the pleasant service and good coffee more then made up for it.

Read an article about this place in a local magazine, and when we drove by at lunch time we turned around and went back. Glad we did! My husband and I both had the fried shrimp wrap. Hot shrimp, cool jicama slaw, great dressing on a soft tomato tortilla. Excellent! Hubby also had the she-crab soup, which he pronounced best... More

We were driving in search of the lighthouses and decided to eat more of a brunch. My husband wanted breakfast and I wanted lunch. Stopped at Atlantic Coast Cafe on a chance and so glad we did! A breakfast wrap and a hamburger later we were in love. The staff person was very good. He was running taking care of... More

Mahi mahi was the fresh catch .....I ordered the dinner. Along with the Mahi I got sweet potato fries and coleslaw. There was so much food, I couldn't finish it. And it was all very tasty.

After a long day of doing the tourist thing we wanted to sit down to a nice dinner, so based on the menu and reviews we thought we would try Atlantic Coast Cafe. We walked in and we're handed a menu and told find a table, when your ready come back to the counter to order. Well, not considering this... More

The Atlantic Coast Cafe is a small beachside restaurant in the village of Waves on Hatteras Island. The decor is disposable plastic, but clean; the service can't be rated because there isn't any, at least at mid-afternoon (seat yourself, order at the counter, clean your table, plastic tableware); and the menu is surprisingly extensive and pricey. But ooooooh, those tacos!... More

Love the food, expensive, but we keep coming back. Wraps are delicious. Disappointed that the location in Avon closed down.
