Patio setting looking at the water front is great. Patio needs upkeep. Food is average service fair.

You start with the Poppy seed muffins served for lunch to the inventive menu. A choice of daily specials include a soup, salad, quiche and sandwich as well as the regular menu. I had the quiche special and salad. My wife enjoyed the soup and sandwich special. Great food and service.

The food is always excellent unfortunately the specials are very often unavailable. The poppy seed muffins are to die for. Ann and her staff are always friendly and helpful. The sandwiches and soups are always fresh.

The Meeting Place is a very pleasant lunch spot with good food and friendly service. I eat there often and have never had a bad experience. It is a popular place, so it can be crowded at times, but the wait staff is attentive and efficient. It is one of the best places in town for a sandwich or salad.

I recently took a friend who lives in Williamston with me to "The Meeting Place" for lunch. We certainly had other options in Washington, Williamston, and Greenville but I wanted to take her there because I had liked their food and atmosphere the times I had been there before and thought she would like it. It was not a good... More

Terrible food, no itemized bill. We ordered :butternut squash + apple soup but it came as cream of chicken with a tiny hint of apple. Our food was worse than day-old Seven Eleven. The bill was high yet not itemized, no prices posted for some of the daily specials.

I stopped at The Meeting Place at the recommendation from the Washington Visitor's Center. As it was Sunday, the restaurant was only serving brunch and the other menu items were not available. Given my timing, I arrived after a large group coming from church so it took awhile to receive my food. However the waitress was friendly and continued to... More

My husband and I live in Wilmington but come to Washington often. We always have brunch and hopefully at least one lunch at the Meeting Place. Great local spot, fresh ingredients, the owner is a really sweet lady named Ann. We always come back here!

Brunch and lunch are the specialties. Many homey touches. Consistantely fresh ingredients and creative items keep locals coming back. Don't try to scam extra poppy seed, lemon muffins.
