While visiting relatives in North Carolina we were taken to this restaurant. We drove for what seemed like hours and arrived at this Scottish-themed building with quaint little cottages out back and a nice little vineyard. We arrived a little early so we took a nice little stroll in the cool evening air through their vineyard. At 5:00 p.m. when... More

The Country Squire is a Scottish themed restaurant with a non Scottish menu. I love the owners accent! Their food is okay, but it seems pricey for what you get. My experiences with their sirloin is that it is a little tough and the baked potato seemed dry. My last visit I had the roast beef, which was very tender... More

This is a favorite place of mine to eat and take customers for dinner. The ambiance is a feel good relaxing place to eat, as you eat slowly by candlelight. the Filet Mignon is so special and tender. I highly recommend this Restaurant. Can't wait to go back.

We only live 45 mins away from here and decided to rent a room for the night since we had never been. The room was full of cobwebs and the ice machine outside as well was broken. The wine tasting was awful as well considering they had no place to sit and I was told when I booked our room... More

Great wine-tasting. Warm Scottish decor in a place built in the 1700's. Korean BBQ beef was so good we stopped here again on our way home! Green beans were the best I've ever had! Friendly attentive service.

I worked with Jan to set up our son's dress rehearsal dinner here. We had total of 40 coming to the dinner. Our menu was Barbeque Chicken, loaded potato casserole, green beans, salad and cake. All the food was home made and was very good. We did the wine tasting as well and I have to say all the staff... More

Gave it one more chance and wish I hadn't. Wife had Korean beef @ medium and it was tough. French onion soup smelled like old sock. Kings cut prime rib was not so great and au jus was tasteless. Had dinner rolls that we did not eat. Service needed improvement. Can I get my glass filled? Don't know how this... More

Nice place for a romantic dinner for two or for a small wedding or birthday or family reunion. Our food was good but service was lacking this trip.....possibly they were short-staffed? Very unusual for this place where excellent service is one of the things they are known for. We waited an hour for our food. We were not in a... More

Great ambiance but only okay service. It's very large and has wonderful and historical décor. I believe the building dates back to the 1700's. The wine tasting before dinner was very nice. We enjoyed the Knicker Dropper which was one of their specialty wines. You start off your meal with a small relish tray and crackers. We saw most other... More

In this country area, there are not a lot of nice restaurants around, but Country Squire does offer good meals and just a different atmosphere. It is an older restaurant in years, but also seems like a step back in time with it being the log cabin 'rustic' look. The servers wear the long dresses with big white aprons. The... More
