Fisherman's Wharf in Wanchese N.C. is a family run seafood restaurant located above one of fish processing places in Wanchese. The food is very fresh, and well prepared. The prices are very reasonable. This place is right on the water and you have a good view of the fishing boats and the sound.

Fresh, friendly, and affordable. Our favorite seafood restaurant of all time. I love their pound of shrimp (I get it fried). Others in the family love the she-crab soup. Everybody loves the hush puppies. The cole slaw is quite good, too.

I could describe the view, but you know why you're in the OBX-suffice it to say you'll remember this place always. The Daniels family photos are near the entrance. Take time to savor their family's story and appreciate the hard-working Wanchese community they represent. We had lunch on the last day they were open for the season, so I'm not... More

The view is worth the trip! This Restaurant is in a fishing village across the causeway from the OBX. The food is good. Fresh seafood caught by the fishing fleet that is right out the window. Wildlife abounds and families are welcome. Friendly waitstaff. It is very much worth the 30 minute trip past Manteo to get there. You will... More

The food is really fresh and tasty, the service is cheerful and fast and the ambiance is relaxed and friendly. Too many seafood restaurants mistake being pretentious and expensive for quality - with complicated sauces, "nouveax" serving sizes and art direction getting in the way. This is the reverse, focussing on the taste and quality of the fresh fish and... More

We eat here every time we come to the Outer Banks. This time we ate lunch here twice in two days. The food is always perfectly prepared and so tasty! They bring a basket of hush puppies to begin your meal, and they are some of the best I have ever eaten. We especially like their popcorn scallops. It is... More

I first experienced Fisherman's Wharf in the early 70's when they first opened. I was introduced to She Crab Soup for the first time and loved it. As the Outer Banks grew in popularity, so did the number of resturants, and I began exploring many of them, so much so that I had forgotten how much I had enjoyed the... More

After trying to go to the Fisherman's Wharf for dinner on Monday and finding them closed we tried again on Tuesday and we were glad we were persistent! The meal was fantastic! My husband had the scallop chowder and shrimp and grits for dinner. I had the crab stuffed North Carolina shrimp. Both of us had delicious meals. By the... More
