Smelled great!

My husband doesn't like seafood especially the smell. There was no fish odor which means it's just caught fresh! He ordered fried red snapper the fish special of the day with slaw and fries. He loved everything! I had fried shrimp and spectacular fried okra. I couldn't finish the basket. This is... read more

Here's the best place to get fresh local seafood. If it's not in season, it's not for sale. They catch or buy from local fishermen and that's what you want when you're on vacation in a beach town. Prices were comparable to the big grocery stores. Nice people too

Freshest seafood in the Outer Banks. Their seafood restaurant has some of the best shrimp you can get.

Could have fooled me unless I was there on an off day. We just ended up buying some local shrimp which looked liked farm raised tigers to me?? The rest of the fish did not look too appealing. Not really worth my time and there is really nothing to see in the area.

This restaurant came recommended to us, and let me say it was NOT what we thought we were getting. The food might have been edible when hot, but I wouldnt know because we waited an hour and finally asked about our food and found that they had bagged it and moved it. They handed us the bags, no apologies, no... More

We were on Roanoke Island and as lunchtime approached, decided to head to Wanchese. I had heard that there were several good restaurants in the area We were not disappointed. There was a nice crowd, but still available seating either inside or out. We only waited for a few minutes to give our order. My husband got the shrimp basket;... More

Went to the fishing village of Wanchese, NC seeking seafood for lunch, but found Fisherman's Wharf oddly closed (for good?). Fortunately, we were directed to O'Neal's nearby. Half restaurant, half fresh fish market, the fish of the day was tilefish. My wife tried it in a basket & I had a sandwich - which wasn't on the menu, but O'Neal's... More

My partner and I were on Roanoke Island around lunchtime last week when we decided to go to O'Neal's Sea Harvest. It's away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but well worth the trip. I had a soft shell crab basket and my partner had sheepshead basket. Both were perfectly done with a light breading. To our complete joy,... More

My husband and I visited here for lunch on a Sunday as we were rolling into town. We have been here before and enjoyed it. We came back for the freshness of the seafood and great atmosphere. I had the blackened shrimp BLT special. My husband had the soft shell crab BLT. I had the fruit as a side and... More

If you like soft shelled crabs and fresh fish you'll love this. A short drive from Manteo or Nags head. Open for lunch only (or retail fish--lots of folks were loading their coolers. Options for non-fish eaters. Quick take-out service and outdoor tables.
