This place was great! This is actually a fresh seafood market with a small dining room for lunch. The seafood lunches are fabulous. My wife ordered a ribeye sandwich that was tremendous. If you are on Roanoke Island do not miss this place.

If you are looking for the place where all the "locals" go for lunch and/or to purchase their seafood, this is it! Whether you are ordering lunch, or the catch of the day (to cook at home) you can't beat the price, freshness, cleanliness, or service! When we go, we not only enjoy the great seafood, but they also make a... More

Had the fish of the day - tilefish and onion rings - all fried to perfection! Not much of a fish selection if you don't want the fish of the day! All seemed to be fried. It is what it is and the fish is excellent. Need to go elsewhere to round out you day to include fresh vegetables! Will... More

Good choice with the understanding that this is first and foremost a business that sells very fresh seafood and as a secondary business offers a limited menu. The business in the marina business section of Wanchese. Dirt parking lot with a few tables inside and a couple outside. Wether buying seafood or ordering a meal, one orders from the counter.... Only way to get fresher seafood is to go out on the boat with the waterman and cook it on the boat. I had been eating seafood all week so I chose a burger instead. Even that was great, hand made patty, cooked on an open flame and a nice fresh roll with a tomato that tasted like it came... More

Can't help but add one more excellent review for this marvelous shore restaurant/seafood shop. Freshest possible seafood prepared perfectly or ready for your own kitchen at surprisingly reasonable prices. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. Eat-in space airy and clean; front porch tables delightful on a nice day. If you are in the area, don't miss it!

Our group of 10 planned to eat at Fisherman's Wharf but it was closed for the day, so we went to O'Neil's. From the outside it doesn't look very nice, but we were there for lunch and heard the seafood was good. This is definitely a place where the locals go. I can say that every person in our group... This is a fish market in a harbor area that also serves up wonderful food. I had a wonderful plate of soft shell crab, fried okra, and cole slaw. My wife and friends tried other things on the menu and every one enjoyed their meals. Expect fried but tasty!
