Special Dinner was Terrific

Chef Andrew Long prepared a special menu for our anniversary. We let him have free reign, and he came up with some wonderful courses featuring locally-sourced ingredients. Service was attentive and excellent, and the private dining room with fireplace was very romantic.

Where else can you get moonshine with your meal? Wonderfully romantic meal. My husband and I were holding hands before being served. Velva came over, took our hands apart, placed our drinks upon the table, and brought our hands back together again. "Continue on," she said, "not enough folks know how to love each other these days. It's a good... More

Due to snow and dangerous road conditions we were unable to get out pif our cabin and down to the Inn for our Thanksgiving Dinner so had to make do with left overs from our fridge ! We were then billed for the meal we missed (the policy unfortunately and a bit of a blow when you've already missed your... More

Thanksgiving dinner was less traditional than expected and disappointing. Every side dish was super Southern Sweet. That sugar filled taste you know is gnawing at your teeth. Wish there was more gravy, a mashed potato side and save the corn pudding concoction for the chickens. Nicely sweet interiors though.

Simplicity is worth the reservation! Their attention to the quality of the food, the local and organic focus was the main reason we wanted to dine with them. And, they did not disappoint. The variety of menu choices and the flavors on the plate were creative, rustic, and so fresh! Truly a delightful dining experience!

Delicious dinners using a lot of ingredients from the Inn's gardens- very innovative! Besides an a la carte menu the chef also offers a special tasting menu each evening. Only open for Friday and Saturday nights 5:30- 8:00. Call ahead for reservations because they book up fast!

Visited the Inn in August with two adults and two older teen boys and stayed overnight. The restaurant was the easiest option for us in the area. There is one room and the tables were mainly for couples. We were in the middle and the boys were slightly unsure at first. The waitresses were outstanding - attentive but not intrusive... More

The meal was amazing. Using as much local as possible the Chef puts together a delicious and unique feast. Highly recommend the daily Chef's Dinner... perfect (especially with local wine and beer). If you are staying at the Inn you still need to make reservations. Not an issue.
