Charming location

Liked the choices of home made type selections and sides brought to the table. The bisquits were a disappointment, as in the south, you expect them to be soft ,steamy, and mouthwatering, not plain and overcooked. The wait outside on porch rockers, overlooking the river, is a nice treat if you have... read more

We were not impressed by the food. The famous apples that were served, were mostly skin of the apple. The famous vegetable "green beans" are from the can. The biscuits, a disappointment. The food is not as good as some reviews say. The food leaves a lot to be desired. Will not return. A 15 percent tip is required on... More

We were shopping in the area and the local shopkeeper recommended we eat here. The river setting was great but our dinner was nothing to rave about. The food was ok but not for a price that didn't even include many sides or dessert. The staff was not very friendly either. A young couple next to us ordered their drinks... More

My husband and I have been dying to try this highly recommended restaurant and last week our chance finally came. The view of the river, bridge and front porch were beautiful. When we were going to leave because they don't accept credit cards, which was all we had, the kind owner let us stay, eat and mail a check for... More

This is a fabulous place to dine. Laid back and wonderful wait staff. We go several times a year as it is not close to where we live. Tried the flounder for the first time and it was great. Fried chicken, Trout with almond butter is always great. Biscuits are awesome. You can ask for a bowl of grits and... More

I heard about Caro-Mi several years ago, but we were in the area for the first time this week and had to try it. We were not disappointed! The rocking chairs on the porch with the creek flowing by are just an added plus to an excellent restaurant and evening. I loved the slaw, which does taste a lot like... More

The building is accessed by crossing the creek via a covered bridge. The food was simple, but delicious. The biscuits with apple butter - YUM!! We ate every bite. Our dog even got to take a dip in the creek! The service and staff were more than pleasant. We would definitely return.

The setting is amazing...sits on the bank of a swift moving creek - big front porch full of rockers to enjoy the wonderful sound of the water...inside is like a large log cabin. The food is good. Family style macaroni/slaw/green beans/biscuits brought to the table to share and then your choice of entrees...from Rainbow trout boned at the tableside to... More

We absolutely love dining at the Caro-Mi. We have been going there for years for special occasions, usually our wedding anniversary. It is "old-world" family-style dining at it's finest. Cross the creek through the covered bridge and enjoy the babble of the brook from your porch rocking chair while they get your table ready. The sides are served family-style, food... More

Amazing, I go whenever possible. My family has been going for four generations and hope to continue the trend. The pickled slaw is unlike anything I have ever had, red eye gravy over grits is to die for, the country ham is the best I've had. You can't go wrong here! The only thing I can think of that I...
