Good Thin Crust Pizza

We do take out mostly. Pizza is good and since it's all about the crust their thin crust is just right. Last time we ate there the service was terrible. Not sure why, but hopefully it's improved. My wife and I went on a date to Trattoria's and ordered calzones and that was a mistake. The complimentary appetizers consisted of fresh baked bread and always wonderful olive oil with a dash of pepper. We enjoyed them and then, our calzones arrived and we immediately realized we ordered one, two many calzones. THEY WERE HUGE! Being conscientious eaters,... More

On a cold winter's day the piping hot rolls and baked garlic in olive oil to dip it in set the right tone. We've had good sandwiches here before but today being particularly chilly we opt for real Italian comfort food - chicken cacciatore, which happens to come with soup and cannoli. For a minor upcharge you also get a... More

...especially if you're getting pasta, because the portion is HUGE! But the chef must sprinkle some voodoo magic on it because no matter how full I get, I can't stop until I've eaten every bite! I always get the spaghetti and meatballs and it seems like it gets better every time! The staff is always friendly and the service is... More

We ordered a medium gourmet pizza to go. Over the phone I asked about the size - "a medium is 16" I think" was the reply. It wasn't - only 14". All the ingredients were skimped on - not acceptable for a $16.00 pizza! It was a very thin crust (I'm amazed how thin crust pizza doesn't make it cheaper...... More

I had the ham calzone with a side of sauce -omg delicious!! In the summer -parking is limited in this part of Swansboro. You can park Downtown Swansboro and there is a walkway under the bridge to the restaurant. You can either sit inside or out-but when you're finished you can enjoy sitting on the benches in the park outside... More

This is a very cool place to start your day rather your a romantic young couple or family with children. The staff is very friendly, service quick but not pushy, and the strawberry fritters to die for. If in the Swansboro area this is a must stop, and ladies, be sure to visit the ladies room for your surprise of... More

I'm from NY, I know good pizza and no one can make a margarita pizza as good as this place, and the bread they serve is wonderful. Stop by and see for yourself.

WOW, I have heard nothing but great comments about this Italian Bistro and all were right on! Small and cozy, only a few tables but there is always take out. The pizzas are wood or coal fired, thin and crisp with a variety of gourmet or just plain topping pizzas. The spaghetti with meat sauce out of this world and... More

We live in the area and have eaten at "the Trat" roughly 15 times over the past 4 years to very mixed results. The food ranges from good to bad; the service is indifferent. The review by Lauren M is very similar to our experiences there. The biggest problem is that there are very few, and mostly mediocre at best,... More
