Great Lunch Specials featuring FRESH Local Fish

This is not a fancy restaurant, but a homestyle, wholesome, locally owned and operated establishment. And in the off season, Batson's has more locals parked in the parking lot for lunch than any of the other restaurants we could find with easy access to Topsail island. Lunch Specials, (a meat and... read more

Ate here on our first night on the spur of the moment and ended up coming back two more times during the week. The daily specials were amazing and clearly freshly caught and prepared. Hush puppies on the table to start with, reasonable prices and a great family atmosphere. The service was fast and friendly. There is something on the... More

This is become our go-to breakfast spot since Batts closed last year. Very friendly wait staff and a very good value for the price. The grits could be a bit less watery and the red-eye gravy could have a bit more bite, but overall it's very good. I've been for dinner as well and they do a good job.

We stopped in for breakfast early on a weekend morning. French toast was okay, nothing exciting. Bacon was nice and crispy. Omelet was stuffed full of sausage and mushrooms, though pretty light on the cheese. Home fries were pretty yummy. Total for breakfast with coffee was $15. By 8:30 the parking lot was filling up and seemed to be a... More

Not open under new management during our September 2014 visit. Previously, the food was very good. Hopefully, the new owners will clean up the atmosphere. Felt greasy. Prices were great for the food selections.

We stay on the island every year for the last 7 years. Had breakfast here and loved it. Went for dinner and should of walked out when we saw the menu. The prices for a shrimp plate were insane. We thought...well it might be really good...no...not. My wife and I spent $60 for a dinner that would of been half... More

We really enjoy having breakfast here. The place is full of friendly locals and the servers are always friendly and have no problem taking a special order from you. I wasn't as impressed with their dinners but it's our first choice for breakfast.

We've been vacationing in topsail for over 20 years and always hit Batsons on our way home and sometimes through the week. We usually just do breakfast there but have also had dinner a few times. Never have we had a bad meal nor bad service. It's nothing fancy just good food , great service and always clean. The waitresses... More

I have had at least one breakfast at Batson's every visit to Topsail Beach for my last five visits. They serve simple, tasty, hot breakfast meals along side a cup of piping hot coffee. The breakfast crowd is heavy. Waiting for a table is a common occurrence. This Sunday, our party had folks who ordered: fried eggs, pancakes, an omelette... More

We went for breakfast on that dreaded last day of vacation. I had track Batsons down on Trip Advisor. They were short of help in the kitchen and so food was slow. However, the server was great and the food, once it arrived was worth the wait. My omelet was like home cooking. Gotta believe the speed of cooking problem... More
