Big Shotz Tavern

Good food, OK selection of beer. Could've been a little better. Good service. Nice quiet place to eat dinner, have a beer and watch the game.

Four of us thought we'd stop in for some bar food after exploring Statesville. Wow - so glad we did! I had the Black & Bleu Burger that was fabulous; hubby had the Shotz Burger which he loved; in-laws had the Stromboli and Turkey Club plus Buffalo Chicken soup- all got rave reviews. Even the seasoned French fries were done... More

Great little local joint! Decent variety of beers, good bar food, friendly staff. Bit of a local hangout, but the staff don't discriminate travelers from regulars. Walking distance from the Marriott and Hampton Inn Hotels. Would recommend if you're looking for a laid back atmosphere.

Only times I have been here is for lunch and both times have been good. Most of the activity for this place is in the evening and I can not comment on that experience. When I walked in the door, the place only had a couple of other patrons present. Had to ask for seating but no problem with that... More

Checked for Tripadvisor rate restaurants in States ville. Big Shot Tavern came highly rated. Chicken parm had no flavor and was tough. Caesar salad old. Fish and chips dry. Waitresses great. Oh well.

The Stromboli was a bit too doughy and needs more meat in it. However, the beer was iced cold and the service was superb.

We were literally the only ones there. Waitress wasn't exactly warm and friendly but it was a sports bar. Service was slow and we were her only customers which was strange considering it was lunch time. Ordered burger medium well and it and the buns came extra well done. All I tasted was bitter char. Had to beg for mustard... More

Stopped here with some friends and was made to feel at home. They have a nice size patio and food is wonderful at a reasonable price. The staff and management were very friendly and engaging. I have read reviews on here many times but never felt the need to write one myself til after visiting Big Shotz, great time.

I've eaten there several times. The food & service has always been great! You have to try the Buffalo Chicken soup! I literally ordered some to go, put it in a lunch box, & took it back to WV! Best stuff ever!
