Gluttons is a throwback to those exuberantly over-decorated restaurants from the 1980s named after imaginary people with long names—J.C. Cockenbull) or cute acronyms —P(ut) O(ff) E(verything) T(il) S(aturday). Their collection of antique architectural elements, stained glass lamps, pictures, prints and whatnots have survived the decades in good order. The attention to details carries through to the food and service: lemon... More

Glutton's offers a wide variety of lunch choices, which change daily. Great atmosphere, friendly service, good food. Right off I 77, next to JR's. Would be great stop for travelers. Easy on/off from interstate. Wide variety of food/drink choices. Full bar.

After driving 600+ miles this was an awesome relaxing retreat. Home made bread, fresh salad, great butterflied lightly battered shrimp. Oh and nice drinks from the bar.

On a positive note, LOVE the decor and the theme. You literally felt like you stepped back into time and were meeting the knights of the round table. The owners really did a tremendous job paying attention to details in this space! Food and service was good but not great. Prices were affordable. I think if I lived closer I'd... More

Gluttons Restaurant was located where you would not expect it- tucked away in a discount shopping center. The ambiance was a little unusual- there were a number of paintings of local scenery, including spider webs (of which there are many in NC). The server mentioned that the paintings had been done by the owners brother. I am a rather fussy... More

We were meeting our halfway between Charlotte and Winston-Salem for dinner as we often do. It was his birthday and we wanted to try something different from the chains we usually go to. I read a lot of the reviews about this place before we went. I decided to try it since there are a lot more positive reviews. The... More

Patty W, I am embarrassed and mortified by your experience at Gluttons and I apologize for ruining what should have been a delightful family birthday meal. There is no excuse for cold food or poor service and I am trying to find out who worked and why this happened. As one of the owners I depend on customers to let... More

Right off exit 50 I-77 Gluttons never disappoints. Last night pork t-bone the size of a porterhouse, and a 'love me tender' loin in mustard sauce. Great wine list.

This place is dark, dingy, and dusty. Stuck in 1980's time warp. The food was awful. I had a spinach salad and the dressing tasted like a cross between French dressing and corn syrup. Thank goodness I asked for it on the side. I ate salad sans dressing. " Glasses" were plastic. So you charge $20 plus for some entrees... More

I am so sorry that you disliked our food, service & atmosphere. We get many compliments on all three which has kept us in business for 30 years. However we realize that we are not everyone’s cup of tea. That being said your server should have offered another dressing and she is new to our staff and obviously needs more... More

Large menu, busy place. The name fits the place. Plenty of food and it's all very good. We were a VERY large party and everyone enjoyed everything they had. Good service, interesting dimly-lit décor, buried way back in a strip mall so you have to look for it...but everyone knows where it is. Almost every town has a place where,... More

We are pleased that your recent visit prompted such a nice review! Sounds like you were here on a night that resembled an old "Cheers" episode. Having been in business for 30 years it's no surprise that most of the locals know us. We love what we do and strive to reflect that in our food, service and atmosphere. We... More

Excellent food at reasonable prices. Fantastic service. The decor with lots of wood like a medieval English Inn. Don't let it's location hidden in a dumpy strip mall turn you away. This is THE place for a sit down meal for anyone in the vicinity.

Thank you Chip. We appreciate your business and great review! I like your "medieval English Inn" description and although I haven't thought of it before, I would have to agree. We hope to see you again next time you are in town. More
