Good Food, Obnoxious Front Desk

I do like the food very much from this restaurant. We take out from here about once every 2 months. Every once in a while we get someone that is OK that takes our order at the front, but it seems to get worse and worse. The last time the girl at the from was the worst I had ever... read more

China Wok was my favorite place in Spruce Pine for many many years. The original owners were very friendly and operated the best Chinese-American cuisine in the area. For the past several years, its seems that the restaurant is under new ownership/management. Unfortunately, the once consistent quality food and service have diminished.

Based on my experience, this place should be 33 of 33 in Spruce Pine. The food was cold and bland. The floors were dirty. The "server" was rude. I'm really trying to find something good to say about the China Wok, but it's just not there.

I enjoy coming back to this restaurant whenever I return to the area. granted, they do not have the largest buffet I have ever seen, but unlike so many others, the food always seems to be fresh, and not 'steam table dry' like so many other buffet style Chinese restaurants. My glass was always kept full, and never wanted for... More

How much does half a dozen pitchers cost? Every time i have been here, the waitresses take your glass from the table to another part of the restaurant to fill it. Yuk! This cant be sanitary. They are also snotty. Foods average at best. Better when they were just a hole in the wall, with no buffet.

the food here is okay. There aren't many similar restaurants in the area so this one seems to draw more people.

Walk in and you will be seated and offered a choice of drinks and select food from a menu or the extensive buffet. While this is not the largest buffet I have been to, it is sizable for the area. The food is consistant, and the service very friendly. You can eat all you desire, for less then $10 bucks!
