First let me point out this is a golf course restaurant, my husband says it is one of the best he has ever been to, clean and friendly. We both had the seafood soup and it was excellent. I ordered the baby leaf spinach salad with warm bacon dressing and my husband had the Philly sandwich. Both were wonderful, beautifully... More

The menu reads like a pretentious attempt at fine dining. The dishes try to please everyone without satisfying anyone. A good restaurant menu perfects and reflects on what the local culture--through the chef's eyes can create and make delicious. At the simplest it should taste good and look good. This menu provided too much variety--from a Taco Salad to a... More

My family and I had dinner here this past Saturday, and it was PACKED. Everyone in Spruce Pine came to enjoy this place. The meal was splendid, and for as busy as they were it came out quick! There was even a line in the waiting area, we're not the only family that will come back many more times. Lots... More

Stuart has redone this restaurant and the food is great. The brunch has a nice variety. The staff is always cheerful and attentive. Nice view of golf course. We have had dinner a few times and have really enjoyed ourselves.

My girlfriend and I ate there this past week while visiting friends in the local area. The food, atmosphere, value, and service were so exceptional that we ate there again today for Sunday brunch! The prime rib is excellent and the owner's brother, David, makes unbelievably sumptuous deserts. He made a blueberry pie the other night that is probably up... More

Stuart is always creating new dishes, and this year is no exception. He has expanded the menu, and includes daily specials that may work their way into the permanent line-up. Service is great as well, and the view of the golf course is a nice one.

We ate there for brunch last Sunday. I had played golf there on several occasions during our stay at Penland and heard good things. We were delighted. A good variety of items for bruch, form omlets to prime beef, to chicken under a bisquit...kind of like chicken pot pie, but even better. The deserts were awesome and appeared to be... More

Excellent food. Service was unparalleled. The view is great over looking the fairways. I would give it a thumbs up to anyone looking for a good meal and trust me save room for dessert.

We've lived in Spruce Pine for a dozen years and have ventured out to the country club on occasion. The current chef is excellent. I had crab cakes which were packed with crab meat. My husband enjoyed his veal dish. The service was excellent. The price was reasonable. I wanted to go back, but they've closed for the season. Delighted... More
