We were traveling through the area and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. The service was great and the food was excellent. We had no idea that it was a gourmet restaurant until we opened the menu. We looked at the offerings and were a little skeptical as we don't usually venture of the beaten path of menu items.... More

Just got home from the mountains and I ate at the Knife and Fork 4 times during this trip. Just can't get enough of it! There is no fixed menu, you will find what is currently available locally. Generally there is always fresh local trout, tempura or grilled with an amazing dill tartar sauce. This trip we had trout, hominy... More

After reading all the great reviews, we decided to try this very unique restaurant. The service couldn't have been any better. Our food, however, was from average to not very good at all.At the beginning of the meal we were brought bread and a spread that consisted of bacon fat mixed with butter. We had the chicken liver crostini which... More

Maker certain to make a reservation because I found out this joint is popular (and featured in Southern Living). The owner (has knife & fork tattoos on his forearms) clearly takes great pride in his establishment as he was busy tending to several of the tables. The menu appears to change daily but we ate on a late Friday night... More

This is a very unique restaurant. The chef tries new creations which are out of this world. He uses locally grown vegetables and local meats to produce a wonderful tasty meal. The night I was there I had a thick cut pork chop with sautéed vegetables. Great flavors! Make sure to make reservations or you might not be able to... More

My husband has wanted to try Knife and Fork for quite a while, so when our trip to the mountains led us to a nearby town, we decided to give it a try. First, we tried Spoon, the bar upstairs frok the restaurant. It was very beautiful inside and the drinks were top notch. For dinner, we were warmly welcomed... More

We went here for lunch and sat outside because we had our little dog with us. The menu changes daily and the food is made from locally grown veggies. We had the burger which is made from grass fed beef and is absolutely delicious. It's a limited menu due to what foods are available and everything is delicious. We have... More

Menu changes daily. It makes for great variety with fresh food. The owner is very active in the restaurant and that leads to good food and good service. The quantities were large and the prices right. We had trout sandwiches. It was good, but when I looked over at my neighbors food, the pork sandwich or the fried chicken sandwich... More
