Great hometown food

The Mustard Seed is a cafe/diner towards the back of one of the stores on Main Street in Sparta. I went in because they advertised carrot soup, which is one of my favorites, and unfortunately, they had run out of it, since it is a favorite around town. In fact, all of their soups had run out and... read more

The Robin Wrap is my favorite! Friendly service and good food. Seat yourself, and a friendly member of the wait staff will take your order. There is also a bar area, were you can sit if you are by yourself and really feel at home. They have specials each day to add variety to the menu. And I think they... More

A small eatery inside a former department store. Small menu of salads, soups and sandwiches that were big on taste. Wonderful grilled cheese with tomato and bacon was enjoyed by three of us and a BLT by the fourth. Family friendly service with generous size soft drinks. A fun place for lunch if in Sparta NC.

I found this adorable little place amongst the shops on Main Street in down town Sparta and I am so glad I did. I had their tenderloin sliders and they were amazing. I definitely plan on stopping in again if ever back this way.

Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, fast friendly service. This little jewel of a restaurant is nestled away on the Main Street in Sparta, so thankful I stumbled upon it. I'll definitely plans to visit when I visit Alleghany County again.

The sign on the Main Street storefront is easy enough to spot, but when you walk in the door you may think you've taken a wrong turn. This lunch-only restaurant is located at the back of a general merchandise store. You have to walk all the way through to find the dining area which is reminiscent of a drug store... More
