Second trip as good as the first….

We visited Southport 4 years ago and had a wonderful lunch at the Pharmacy. Recently we were back in town and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch again. The homemade soups and crab cakes were fantastic. We recently enjoyed a romantic dinner at the window table of the amazing restaurant. While walking around town earlier in the day, we were able to make a reservation for that table with a very friendly young lady named Madison. When we arrived for dinner, Madison greeted us with a big smile and ensured our evening was fantastic. Not only... More

I had visited Pharmacy once before at dinner and enjoyed their Bouillabaisse seafood stew. It is a pricey selection at $29.95 for a relatively small bowl. It's filled with fresh seafood including mussels, whitefish, clams, calamari, etc. I inquired about a smaller size, and the server volunteered saying that she'd be glad to ask the chef to fix a "lunch-size"... The pasta is handmade. Fish tacos are amazing. They have a huge wine selection. I had the key lime pie and it was wonderful. It's very pricey but everything is homemade so it's understandable. Will definitely visit again.

Had lunch on a brisk Saturday. At noon, the place was nearly empty but filled up quickly. Our waiter was patient, we stayed two hours, attentive with a great sense of humor. Their crab cakes are delicious and elegantly prepared in a puff pastry, served with mesclun greens and a tangy mustard sauce. My companion had the French onion soup... More

My friend and I went a while ago to catch up with each other. We had the worst service I have ever experienced. We were treated poorly at this "fancy" restaurant... I have a feeling because we were young high school students. It doesn't matter though, if I'm a customer I expect to be treated nicely because I did/do have... More

This is an upscale eatery that serves unique dishes that are delicious. We tried it for lunch and were not disappointed. A bit pricey but worth it if you crave something other than a plate steamed, broiled or fried seafood.

We frequent this restaurant. We always make a reservation as it can be crowded and is small but quaint. We enjoy going for drinks as well if you can get a seat at the bar. It's limited to about 6 seats. Food excellent and presentation is great. Desserts a must as well. Drinks are expensive.

We loved the ambiance of the Pharmacy as we dined during lunch time on a regular day. Had to roll me out of the place - awesome food, gigantic proportions and so glad I ate the key lime pie although I now carry extra poundage :) Oh well, back in Ohio and shoveling the ice/snow should help that.

The environment was a little dark but rustic in a cool kind of way. I ordered the crab cakes and portabello/cauliflower bisque. The crab cakes were unique in that they were wrapped and lightly fried in phyllo dough. The presentation was visually pleasing (the dough was twisted upwards so they looked like little satchels). The soup was probably my favorite... More
