Well there were 4 of us and we were only in Southport for four days so we had to pick and choose our restaurants. I read great reviews about Joseph's and since Italian is my favorite we had to try it. Out of the four of us, only one thoroughly enjoyed his main entree. He had the soft shell crab... More

Not sure what everyone liked about this place but if it was located in a town with great restaurants it would be out of business in months. The food is average at best, and the service while not rude is just not good. Go the the Fish House restaurant at blue point marina for a better meal.

Although a bit on the pricey side, I enjoyed a meal of the most delicious lasagna I've ever had. Also, the service was excellent. The others at my table had nothing but good things to say, and we ended up staying and visiting (old friends) for a bit beyond closing time, and no one even asked us to leave. We... More

A quaint little Italian restaurant overlooking the marina. Marquis (sp?) was our waiter and he was excellent! The food was delicious! My husband ordered the chicken Alfredo and I ordered shrimp with ravioli and tomato cream sauce. The scallops, filets, etc., looked excellent. Great service, ambience!

While it is off the beaten path, it is well worth the visit. We sat outside overlooking the marina. Our server, Markese, was friendly, very attentive. I had the shrimp scampi. Loaded with shrimp and the sauce was different and outstanding (18.99). The wife had one of the specials, an 8 oz angus filet. While $34 she said it melted... More

We had a cocktail at the bar while we waited for a table outside (you want to eat outside). The bar tender was very friendly and made delicious drinks. The view outside was very nice and relaxing, but I would recommend bug spray, which the restaurant provided if you ask. Both of our dinners were very good. This a nice... More

this was a very nice restaurant. I have been going to this beach for many years, & I never knew that this restaurant was here. We all enjoyed our meals. We ordered a variety of different things, and everything was fixed to perfection. You should order the calamari. It was wonderful. We ordered the fettucini alfredo, lassume, as well as... More

We ate here (sat outside in the back) as a family and really enjoyed our meals. The heat lamps were a nice touch and sitting "on the water" was enjoyable on a nice evening. I would recommend it for a family or date night. Menu options were a little pricey, but worth it. Delicious dessert options too!

I go to Joseph's at least every two weeks. It is my go-to restaurant in Southport. It sits next to a marina on the intercoastal waterway and it's not unusual for boats moving down the waterway to overnight at the marina and eat at Joseph's. An outdoor balcony adds to the ambiance. While it is billed as an Italian restaurant,... More
