This was our first visit to Joseph's and what a find! The food came out hot and was excellent. The server was great and full of personality. The seafood pasta dish with a spicy marinara was my choice and one of the best I have had in some time. Our table had the perfect view of the water and marina... More

Friends recommended Joseph's so we went last night. Great bread with cheesy topping, garden salads (included with entree) and pasta carbonara with shrimp, the eggplant, all absolutely perfect! We will be back - we've found our new favorite place. Marina view outside is a plus.

Best secret in southport. Fantastic food with an above average wine list. A best bang for your buck eatery. Overlooking the boats with wonderful views of the intercoastal. Very friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. A do not miss when in the area.

We ordered three courses at Joseph's and thoroughly enjoyed each tasty morsel. First they serve soft bread that has been baked with cheese, accompanied with olive oil and fresh grated parmesan cheese. I ordered the appetizer special, which was the escargo, and MyGuy ordered the eggplant rollatini. Both excellent. My main course was a veal dish, which was prepared to... More

Coming from a south Philly perspective this is average Italian food, nothing special. Quite disappointed that the clams are imported from China. Saw the Chinese clam box by the kitchen trash. Why source freakin' potentially sickening Chinese clams when local Southport clams are always available?? I go to China often and know that sanitation and food safety is a BIG... More

For an italian joint the steak is great. Very dark in side they should spend a little money on lights. The service was excellent for the first half of dinner. Than waiter disappeared over 1 hour to get check and to get credit card back. Not sure where he went or who he was with but it was anoying.

This fussy spoiled New York restaurant diner says that Josephs is by far the best restaurant in Southport. Excellent food, great view and friendly wait staff. Your not gonna get Babbo or Fedeli Scalini down here. But for upscale basics this is the best.

My husband and I dined here with another couple. They don't take reservations for smaller parties. Since it was very crowded in the bar area, we stepped out onto the deck and enjoyed the beautiful view of the marina. Our wait didn't seem that long. The service was excellent. My fish of the day - grouper - was delicious. My... More

The thing that stood out for me about Joseph's was how great the entire staff - not just the server - is with children. They actually understand families, and speak to the children as if they are human beings, not like one would talk to someone who doesn't speak your language (basically ignoring them like most restaurants do). The food... More

One of my favorite restaurants in Southport. The marina view is relaxing and the food is delicious. Marquise (forgive my spelling) is the most fabulous waiter. He is kind, gracious, and always top notch. The hostess Marion knows to seat us in Marquise's section every time. We will see you all soon.
