Anniversary dinner!

Excellent! Service, food...everything was great! It was a Tues. evening, not too busy when we arrived but by 1/2 way thru our meal the place was filling up quickly. Husband had the special (chix which was delicious & I had scallops over green fried tomatoes...yummy!). John our server was... read more

Though we spend a lot of time in the Southport/Oak Island area, we had not been here before. It did not look like much on the outside, but both the food and the service were great. It only needs to move near the water.

I have eaten at Ports of Call many times over the past year or so. The menu is eclectic, and the food very tasty!! My favorite is the Sea BLT which is a seafood salad w/lobster, crab and shrimp served over fried green tomatoes. Oh my.... They have a new Spring menu that has some wonderful new selections. The owners,... More

Waitress forgot some items & they were out of ALL desserts! We had reservations for 6 pm & we're taking a friend out for her birthday so how can a restaurant be "out of dessert?" This is the second time we have been disappointed there .

The restaurant is very charming. Service was very friendly and helpful. Food is excellent, we especially enjoyed the new cucumber wasabi dressing and divers scallops. Choice of side dishes is also excellent. We will definitely return during our next trip to Southport!

This friendly small restaurant serves both full entrees and tapas plates for dinner. We started with two cocktails. I didn't like mine at all, and it was replaced with friendly ease. We ordered fried oysters as a tapas appetizer - OMG, they were delicious, juicy and large. We got another tapas with beef with bacon - equally delicious. We also... More

I had the curried chicken stuffed avocado with the orzo pasta salad. Constant companion had the Angus cheee burger with handcut fries. Both of us enjoyed every bite, in fact, I had to poke companion's hand with a fork to keep him away from my final tasty morsels 😉. Everything on my plate blended perfectly together. Even the decorative swath... More

We visited Ports of Call on the 4th April whilst on holiday from the UK. The food was amazing but what I will mostly remember is the service. We were looked after by someone called Kinnen (I may have his name slightly wrong) but the service was first class, friendly, timely and polite!! Service in the US seems to be... More
