What used to be one of my favorite places to eat in Southport let me down last night - primarily due to the service. Our waiter did not introduce himself, which is something most diners have come to expect. After all, the person serving you is an integral part of your dining experience. To begin with, I asked for the... More

The food was really delicious. An eclectic mix of ingredients and tastes from all over the world. They have an adorable little market as well with things you'd only find overseas and/or in specialty shops! There are so many great things on the menu, I highly recommend ordering a bunch of items and sharing!

We have now been here twice and the food is fabulous. Bar has a great wine selection - ask for Ben, he knows his stuff. Skip the long lines for mediocre food on the water and come here. Great food, great atmosphere. You will not be disappointed.

My granddaughter wanted to visit this location because it was in the movie, Safe Haven! So, of course, we stopped in on Sunday for brunch. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice and quiet! I would definitely recommend visiting.

We read Tripadvisor ratings on the many restaurants in this seaside town and settled on Ports of Call after agreeing that it would make a nice pre-Father's Day lunch spot. I ignored a few reviews by people offering low ratings simply because they had a tired or overworked food server the day they ate here, especially if they gave it... More

After recently moving to Southport, we finally got to Ports of Call. What a great experience. We arrived early to have a drink at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and had several special drinks. Dinner was delicious. We decided to do all tapas and tried a few. The seafood blt was the favorite. The mussels and oysters were... If you love flounder you will really love this. Very light and flakey. Simply melts in your mouth. Great menu and excellent food. I expect to pay higher prices for execllence.

Three of us split 4 large sized tapas which included shrimp diablo, mussels in a mushroom cream sauce, bruschetta and a crab BLT concoction. All of the food was delicious and the ample bread basket was much appreciated in soaking up the delicious sauces from the shrimp and mussels. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating and our server was... More

We go to Southport to visit family on a regular basis and have wanted to try Ports of Call for some time. Overall I'd say the atmosphere was great, the food was good, but it is overpriced for this market and the service was lacking. Our server seemed overwhelmed through much of our meal. She forgot to mention some of... More

Recent visit to Oak Island with my family. We had made advanced reservations for Easter Brunch and we LOVED the food, service and atmosphere. This is a MUST if you are in SouthPort.
