My brother and I needed to grab lunch on the way through Southport. This was the perfect choice. Delicious, fun, reasonably priced.

You are in the beautiful tourist town of Southport, NC and you want a little something, but you're really not up for a sit-down meal or spending a lot of money. Head to the Trolley Stop, not far from the water and have a hot dog virtually any way you want it.

Great hotdogs. "The Southport" is my favorite. I can always eat two. Liz and the crew are the best....

Affordable place to grab a quick lunch on the go, but the hot dogs did not taste as good in the past. They were good, not great however I find that this stop in always on our agenda.

My husband and I enjoyed. It was nice that they were beef hot dogs because my husband is allergic to pork. We go every year when we return to the area.

Went with great expectations with family who shared with me that this was the best hot dog in the area. Very disappointed, the menu looked interesting, with nice choices, we choose the all beef hot dog and then watched in disbelief when they pulled the hot dogs and then placed then in the microwave. Not good! They had a flat... More

Stopped for lunch while walking around shops in southport. It was a nice little place that had homemade chili. The hot dogs were good as we got the all beef ones with chili and mustard. They seemed to be working casually behind the counter as we had wait for fries. They were worth the wait though.

Our hotdogs were fine but our experience was not the best. The atmosphere seemed disorganized and not well maintained. The staff seemed flustered and not cohesive with each other. We have visited on and off again over the years but I think it has finally fallen out of favor with us. There has been an increase in restaurants in the... More

fun and festive place. We get floats and shakes here too, but the staff ( two teen-aged pimple faced guys ) said they had no vanilla ice cream at that time ( noon ) among other flavors, Overall a strange visit, but will go back.

Don't expect much. I hot dog with anything you can think of, a soda, bag of chips and walk it down to the waterfront for a little picnic. Fun on a budget!
