A Fantastic Alternative to High Priced Seafood Platters

My family was visiting two weeks ago with a 3 month old and 2 year old so finding places to eat took on a whole new challenge! That is when I thought of Taylor's and was so excited that it was serving until 8pm. How refreshing it was to open up their menu and see reasonably priced meals that... read more

We read the reviews of this restaurant and knew we wanted to try it when we came to Southport. Everyone working there was very welcoming and friendly. You have to get the lemonade. It was amazing. I had the fried green tomato sandwich with bacon and goat cheese. Delicious! We also had the fried chicken and fried pork chop. Everything... More

The food and wait staff are both excellent at Taylor's. I was with a party of 8, and we took someone's advice to get there before Taylor's opened - which was great advice! There was a line already forming when we arrived at 8:55 a.m. We were impressed with the fact that staff asked us to wait a few minutes... More

wife and I visit Taylor's when on vacation each year. This visit was our fifth or six. We had breakfast here Sarurday July 25th and had sausage gravy biscuits and grits, both of which have been very good in the past. We both found the biscuits over cooked and burned on the bottoms. The gravy was tasty as usual but... More

The Taylor sisters have founded a local dinner style café with a dining experience as good as the food. With dishes like fried green string beans and green tomatoes along with "better than your grandma's" fried chicken will be remembered by your palate (and your waistline). Fun do have every once and a while. I usually have their salads which... More

Taylor's is one of those quaint, small-town diners you hope you'll happen into some day. Driving by you might not stop if you didn't know about them. The staff is personable and helpful. They treat you like an old friend. The food is good, especially breakfast which is why I go back. But, I've had a few lunches and the... More

The service was friendly, fast and relaxed. Enjoyed the morning breeze on the patio. Eggs Benedict was excellent as recommended. Sweet potato waffle was delicious and unique. Lots of locals eating so you know it must be good!

This was our first visit and we choose this restaurant to meet friends from out of town. Staff was helpful and accommodating for our party of 7 plus baby. Food was excellent and reasonable priced. I was delighted to find a fried chicken over salad since I couldn't decide between the two. Fun and quirky decor!

We are locals and have always loved Taylor's, but this Sunday was awful! Recently we noticed that the good was not as good. This Week my husband had the Sweet Potato Waffle, a pile of soggy, spiced dough, bacon cooked so well it was close to burnt--$8 I had a veggie omelet it was scrabbled eggs cooked on the grill... These woman male some of the freshest and tastiest lunches and dinners available in the Southport area. I have never been disappointed. For a special treat you have to try their fried chicken salad. Yummy.
