Just okay

Food here was just okay. The sandwiches were between $8-10 and main meals almost all were $17-19. The view was nice but the place seems a bit outdated and overpriced for the quality. Service was friendly.

My wife and I recently returned to this quaint restaurant, purely by happenstance. Our family travels to Southport once every few weeks and we have dined at many of the affordable restaurants in the area. On this particular day we were discussing where to eat while walking around, and my wife saw this restaurant. She commented on how much she... More

My family and I went in on a Sunday afternoon, after the typical Sunday afternoon 'rush', so there was maybe 6 tables occupied when we went in. We were there almost 2 hours to eat lunch and it was awful. It took forever to get our drinks, our meal, and I thought we would NEVER get our ticket! The server... More

We live near by in Oak Island and about twice a year I am embarrassed to say we eat at Cape Fear. The view is beautiful, that's it. After about 12 meals here we still have not had a good one. The place is outdated and the food is horrible. Don't bother with anything fresh and the fried food is... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants on the North Carolina coast. We have far too few restaurants on the water and this is one. Drive down 211 right into the parking lot and you can't go any further. I have always had excellent service and good to great food here. I have been here many times over the past... More

I live in Southport and used to love this place...BUT the quality of the food has been going downhill for sometime. The last two visits were absolutely terrible, leaving me and my family sick, physically sick from eating there. I had a steak, which was thin and tough. The fries they served with it were cold. My daughter had pasta... More

We stopped in the afternoon for drinks. The view of water was spectacular. Try the swamp water cocktail!

I had not eaten at this location since I was a teen, and decided to try it again. It's true, there is a reason for no waiting on a Saturday evening. The service was slow, but courteous. However, the food was not hot, and the stuffed flounder was absolutely full of bones. The waterfront view is great, but it does... More

The ONLY good thing I can say is the view us nice. Our waiter didn't have a personality. The building is old and smells musty. My grandson who is 1 was crying and we were asked to control him and they began to tell my son-in-law how to be a parent. So we canceled our order and left. So if... More
