This is a fabulous place to meet friends - very bright and cheery. Great food for a great price and the Greek salad is exceptional.

This is a homey little place serving really good fresh sandwiches, soups, and salads. Our party ordered quesadilla, grilled egg plant, and a turkey melt. All were excellently prepared. Best in town - great location and always Very busy. Worth the wait. - staff is well trained, personable, and very attractive. Best dish on menu - the "hot vegetarian". Lunch with friends at least one a week.

I walk every morning and you can smell the fresh aroma of their bread take over downtown SoPo in the early morning. It is wonderful, but do not forget the rest of our great places to eat!!!!!!!!! I live in SoPo and I walk downtown everyday and this is a staple of downtown!

My significant other and I visited Southern Pines for window shopping, and we stumbled into this Cafe for lunch. We got lucky and was able to get right in after a minute. We order our beverage and meals, and we were pleasantly surprised by both the service and quality of the entrees. I had a cup of butternut squash soup,... More

If you are in Southern Pines, NC (a lovely small shopping/walking town) be sure to try the independent restaurant, Sweet Basil. This restaurant has personality and unique items on the menu. Everything we have tried is quite good. There is often a wait at this lunch place. Be sure to check to see if they are open in advance of... More

Go early - 11:30 - and avoid the wait! Otherwise, be prepared to wait and rest assured you won't be sorry. I can't report a favorite menu item. I have tried them all, and have never been disappointed. I have learned to ask for 1/2 and 1/2 - that would be 1/2 fries and 1/2 salad! All that said, this... More
