It's a strip mall BBQ restaurant, and a chain one at that. Didn't have high expectations, but figured it would be fast. It was actually VERY good. Good assortment of meats (including a few I've never had... the cheddar stuffed spicy sausage is unique and tasty) and sides. Served up very quickly and courteously. And, decently priced as well. It's... More

Good not great BBQ everything is a little bland and a little over priced - $12 for a sandwich & 2 sides, you're kidding me. I'll stick to the mom & pop BBQs in the future.

The pulled pork was tender, fresh, moist and very tasty. The meat ranks very high on my list of many barbecue experiences. The sides were good but the pork was the 'star'. Wish I lived closer to this great place.

I enjoy eating at dickeys bbq once in a while....there food is pretty good.....I just think that the prices are a little high for what you get.....I will continue going , but really you can go to a nicer restaurant for the same price and have a nicer dinner....

Some of the best bbq I have had in a long time. The flavor of the meats is outstanding. Baked potato casserole delicious and the hushpuppies where great. Glad it was not traditional Carolina BBQ. The sauce is tasty. The girl on the phone was a little short, but the young lady at the counter was really friendly and the... More

I head to this place every time I go to Pinehurst, NC for the annual Food and Wine Festival at the Pinehurst Resort. Great flavor, not to be missed when you are in the area. Love that NC BBQ sauce!

We got into Southern Pines a bit later than we wanted to and couldn't get to our first choice for dinner. The kids were all set on BBQ though and Dickey's was close and still serving. We were pleasantly surprised. The service was great and they took the time to explain the different dishes to everyone in our group. We... More

We enjoyed eating the local BBQ, but it seemed only average in taste. The BBQ sauce had a slight pepper heat which was fine. Over all average pork sandwiches, didn't try other offerings. The service is very fast, you order at the counter.

First time I ate at Dickey's was in RVA. Which was so good. This one fell short. The meat was mainly fat. So spending 10 on a plate of mainly fat was not my cup of tea. Speaking of tea, it tasted like it had been sitting there for days. It was gross. The sides were cold and the service... More

We've enjoyed Dickey's Barbecue Pit for many years now, often visiting their Cary location long before they opened a location in Southern Pines. After 10 visits to the S.P. location over the past y year or so we've begun to notice a gradual decline, ie no papertowels on tables, no butter on the rolls, dirty bathrooms, & general grouchy &unhappy...
