Description: The Bell Tree Tavern is a locally owned Restaurant with a full service bar...
The Bell Tree Tavern is a locally owned Restaurant with a full service bar and great outside patio and bar. Located in the center of downtown Southern Pines it features a gorgeous outdoor patio and bar and has 10 large screen TV's for the avid sports fan. If sports is your passion join us for Soccer, College Basketball, College Football and the NFL featuring "the Sunday Ticket". The menu consists of many items made in house from our famous smoked ribs to the honey bourbon shrimp salad. Many come specifically for our signature Buffalo and Lamb Burgers, while others choose the Smoked Beef Brisket or the Whole Smoked Chicken. We boast the "BEST" wings in town but we have something for everyone from children to adult. A great place to come late night as well featuring 20 draft beer selections focusing on NC craft brews to some of the best small craft breweries in the country. Give us a try and I think you will feel right at home with the locals who frequent this downtown staple.

Go for the Atmosphere... Not the Food

First visit to the area and was recommended this restaurant. The atmosphere was nice, the patio was pleasant in the warmth of the sun, but the food just so-so. Granted, we only had three of the dishes, but they were over priced for the quality. Example: shrimp and grits for $9.95 with no sides that... read more

Hot day and nice cooling fans helped us relax for a great lunch. My Betty's Black Bean Burger was really good; wife's wrap was great. Both chose coleslaw and enjoyed. Sweet ice tea hit the hydration spot. We'll be back for more.

This bar is fun! It's the best place in Southern Pines/Pinehurst to watch sports with audio! Great drinks and a friendly staff.

Is it a bar or pub or restaurant? I don't even think the staff know...Tables are sticky, wait staff reach instead of serve. (terribly untrained) two hostesses standing around texting on their phones, asked for a sangria and got wine with fruit in it. (if you don't have it...say you don't have it/or don't know how to make it) We... More

Worst place in Downtown Southern Pines. I went out to celebrate a good friends birthday. However the snobbish arrogant rascist bartender on the patio refused to serve my girlfriend and one of my friend who are both African American the hardest time in the world to give them a beer by the way they had valid ID and had multiple... More of a college bar. Burger was below average, fries were soggy, wine by the glass was expensive for a jug wine, but my spouse liked the salad with chicken. Cost was close to $60 with the tip. Probably a good place to go for a beer after work but be cautious about ordering food.

My cousin and I arrived in Southern Pines on a Monday afternoon when many of the restaurants were closed. We were glad we were directed to the Bell Tree Tavern. Our late lunch hit just the spot and our server was friendly and attentive.

This is a 20 something bar scene. Sometimes a $2-3 cover on Saturdays for live music. Nice patio. Ymmy steak sandwich and surprisingly good sashimi tuna !

This was truly one of the worst "culinary" experiences of my life and I am old enough to know. I usually tip bad service at bad restaurants and keep to myself but this place is ridiculous. The appetizer was billed as a seafood combination with lump crab, shrimp and flounder. It came out as a lot of bread with a... More

Headed to the Bell Tree after the US Open based on a hotel recommendation. Great place to have a beer and burgers with buddies. Cool downtown atmosphere. Has an outdoor area that was nice and relaxing.
